You forgot about Broomfield, anytime we sign someone decent it's him doing all the work and General Levy. Nothing to do with the manager at all.

He must fucking like it in Brazil anyway for the amount of time we've been watching Leandro.

Interesting that Newcastle are in talks over Papiss Cisse, particularly as he's at the ACN!!!

Demba Ba replacement??

£10m the fee. Don't think he would lead the line as well as Ade does for us, so perhaps not as much of a priority but for that kind of money I'm sure he would offer more than Pav.

That's all good if we're trying to bring in promising youngsters who have the potential to make an impact in a few years.

Newcastle seem to spot gems at good prices for players who can make an impact in their first team now. Not later.

Ba, Krul, Tiote, Cabaye, Guiterez, Enrique.

All good players who'd be in around our first team.

What has got folk so worked up already (other than previous experience Eek), is that we know Adebayor will be ineligible for the Citeh, and doubt either Defoe or Pav will be fitting as a replacement (somehow).

Than and a piece of ITK at the beginning of the window claiming that Redknapp was absolutely insistent that all transfers deals be done early in the window.

Oh, and the fact that they are a bunch of excitable big girlies blouses

Oh I agree... but HR can be as insistent as he likes, but if Daniel Levy came to him on the 31st and said, "well we can have Tevez now, do you still want?", do you think HR will really say no?

DL will do what is right financially for this football club and we can't praise him one minute for sound stewardship and then freak out when we don't blow the bank.

Plenty of teams gambled on spending big, thinking their time had come and it cost them dear and Liverpool might very well join them if not careful.

Err not saying you are suggesting this SP, in fact 99% of the time I totally agree with your comments (and this is no different, just re-iterating some views).

Agree, I think our academy scouting network is strong but not too convinced about our 1st team one.

Well... they would all make the bench yes and a strong bench it would be, but just like City and Barcelona can't sign all the Messi's of this world, neither can we sign all the Ba's... plus he was a big gamble given his medical issues.

Krul might dislodge Friedel if he was with us, but that's not a given.

We all want that big name to come in and fire us into a league challenge throughout the 2nd half of the season, We all want to finish 3rd now as a minimum really to put one over the Chavs and the Scum! but Levy will not put the long term future of the club at risk and blow masses of money on Transfer fees and wages its not just the fans he answers to its Big Joe and the board Levy has a pretty thankless task hes damned if he does and hes damned if he dont!!

Thinking that they've done a great job overall but a shocking one specifically when it comes to the striking department are not mutually exclusive. I don't disagree with you in essence but find it frustrating, as I firmly feel that if Adebayor gets injured we are fucked. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he doesn't.

I do as well mate, just hope we pull something out of the bag. It doesn't need to be a world beater...just somebody who can offer half of what Ade's general play brings to the team so if disaster does strike our team dynamic isn't shattered.

His hold up play is second to none who else can do this Carroll maybe big strong player obviously doesnt have the skills Ade but does offer his hold up play?? If Pool really are chasing Defoe then the cards are in our favor?...just a thought.

Pun intended?
