Quote for another Spurs transfer window:

"
Don't be too optimistic, the light at the end of the tunnel might be another train."

In all honesty, I can not think of a single player who we could realistically sign who would improve us.

Guess it's impossible? But id recall njie.
Be superior option than Sissoko who I suspect won't even be an option as he will get adebayored from now on anyway

Njie was on the bench last night for a struggling Marseille. Came on was decent, but I can't see him coming back right now.

In all honest i dont see us doing anything major, if at all. I wouldnt be surprised if the sissoko deal was the last of the money available for this season

All in for Moussa Dembele (Celtic). 27 matches - 17 goals this season ( 3 in UCL); 4 matches - 4 goals for France u21.

We've already bought one player who tore it up in an inferior league already

Newcastle will be laughing their collective arses off if that's the case.

We missed the boat on that one, im afraid.
I thought it was quite bizarre that we didn't try to tie him up on a free transfer after we weren't able to get him in January. And also why the deal broke down just because we didn't want to loan him back. If we looked at the bigger picture we might not have been able to take him immediately but we would have had him for a whole pre-season this summer and I think he would have been a great signing if we were more patient about it.

I'm sure there were quotes saying he turned us down in the summer because he wanted to play regularly. Coric, Malli and Rode also apparently knocked us back.

In Poch's pre Swansea press conference (available in the thread in Spurs Chat) he spoke briefly about transfers. He said its hard to find players they want, but if an opportunity came up with a player that would improve the squad we'd go for it. The same as the last 2 winter windows. So don't expect anyone in!

Any chance we could persuade Darren Anderton out of retirement? Even at 44, he's probably a bloody improvement on Sissoko.
