Pamela's playing up wants a new contract , Pochs told him to earn it or fcuk off (probably back to Rome)
The Dutchmans toast not up to the required standard

For a guy that's not played for months, that would be truly amazing...

I thought that was a cryptic. Said it to myself about 12 times. So many questions...

'Who is the Dutchman?'
'What is the significance of toast?'
'White or granary?'

Then I remembered... ITKs don't do grammar.

'The Dutchman's toast'

Good work again Dovahkin.

There had been noises before iirc about Lamela - something along lines of others receiving new contracts when he hadnt. Would imagine, given price paid, that he would have been one of the biggest earners but probably not the case now.

Pochettino said this just a couple of months ago?

"That’s good news [that he wants to sign a new contract]. I am always pleased when a player shows commitment to a club and Lamela is an important player for us."

What do you expect him to say? 'If' he signs, we sing, but does not look promising at present, does it?

He was a vital player prior to his injury but since then we've finally found our groove and have Sissoko, Son and GKN chomping at the bit to get some game time. If he's really throwing his toys out of the pram then with us currently having 6 players for 2 positions (based on our new formation) then it's feasible that he could be sold.

I'd hate to see EL moved on unless he's trying to hold the Club to ransom, in which case there's a squad place for Senor Isco right there.

More realistically, it's another Chinese whisper and EL will resume his pressing and cute through balls for Harry from the 343 as well as the 4231/4411.

Interesting article on Sky (search "why spurs signed alderweireld" - http://www.skysports.com/share/10722222 ) to bear in mind when asking why we don't sign player a, b, or c overnight.
Written by Rob Mackenzie (who the intro seems to suggest has now left Derby as well... seems to move on rapidly from club to club!)

Rob McKenzie also talks about the process when recruiting Janssen on the Scout7 podcast. Made a lot of sense.

That's so odd to hear since Lamela has been first choice for years, exemplifies the work ethic Poch demands, and has only improved year after year. Odd that he is one that hasn't received a new deal and I would hate to see him go. I love his work Eric and think he is such an integral part of our side.
