I wouldn't really put Eriksen, Lamela and Lloris on the same level as Shawcross and Green

I would assume Chadli, Holtby, Lennon, Rose, Naughton, Dawson as potentials for Southampton, probably in that order. Maybe Dembele at a push or a loan for the likes of Bentaleb.

If we sell Holtby now I am done. great squad member for Pochs tactics.

You can add a lot of names to that. We've been buying fully fledged international players. No reason can't do the same re a CB.

Oddly enough, despite the usual warnings that swap deals and deals involving multiple players tend never to come off, given the number of outgoings at Southampton, I can see them being quite happy with a deal that gets them 2-3 players with some PL experience in. Even if it means they lose another star player.

The fans are already going to be livid with the team that lines up for the first match of the season - the club need to ensure that there are still 11 players to field!

I would imagine that a package of Dawson, Holtby/Capoue, etc could restock some key areas for them - it is not as if they can use the "were not a selling club ... We have ambition to compete" line, is it?!

Hopefully a good way of offloading Danny Rose too, i know it amounts to cruelty inflicting Danny Rose on them but they need a LB now Shaw has gone

There isn't much neck sticking out this summer is there? I don't think an anonymous poster opining that we might be interested in someone or we might not qualifies as putting their neck on the block.

Of course the answer might be that there is little or no ITK because we aren't buying anyone but that seems unlikely/I choose not to believe it.

With Sherwood & Redknapp out the door, Levy has plugged a lot of the leaks. Doesn't make for interesting times on forums but I'd personally give that up for securing signings before rivals are informed & hijack the deal.

Let me know when we get one. All we seem to get is ITK on signings then a long drawn out wait. Vorm and Davies for example. We knew well in advance they were coming.
