I find it really hard to believe the FA/PL would be so officiously jobsworth if we were an hour or two late with the bulk but got something over to them near the time limit as a "foot in the door".

To be fair though, we were all willing Arsenal to have failed in getting ArseShaving done in time.

To be honest it sounds very Premier Leaguey to me.

Van der Vaart to Tottenham latest: the Premier League tells BBC Sport they are 'looking into deal'.

Trust me than could be worse. You could be a huge Netherlands fan and aching to have one of their players in their prime (even Bulldog was on his tail end) and get all excited to have one of your favorites only to find out that the fax machine joke is actually playing out. Oh yeah, it can suck real hard for some of us.

Granted not as bad as finding out that your all time favorite player was a Yid and was excluded because of Sugar's hatred of foreign players and would play for the Arsenal instead. But still.....real bad!

It won't just be the FA that need to look into the deal. Saying they should push it through because it will aid them is pointless, as this will be gone through with a fine toothed comb by more than the FA, now that it's been made public.

Levy will sue their arse if it doesn't go through. Loss of earnings for the club, e.g club shirts, beer mugs etc.

I should have gone to bed at 8pm.

Infact, I should have gone on June 1st and not got up until tomorrow afternoon.

Night all. What a shitty end to the evening.

Are the premier league headquarters guys still open? I'd expect them to close in the evening and deal with late registrations early tomorrow morning.
