Happy to take the discussion elsewhere, but out of interest why Arsenal in particular?
Primarily the loss of revenue from being outside European football for the first time in almost three decades.

Sky and BT Sport extended their deal with EPL on same value. Note the last value was extreme as BT and Sky were in an auction and fearful of Amazon and others joining the party.

whilst TV deals across Europe are reducing, EPL has held their position, and relative tothe market it means growth.

So English teams have a base level of security and both BT and Sky are highly unlikely to hit financial problems.

I would imagine half the appeal with the Prem is it’s so competitive? If the media gets its wishes and all the best players end up going to Man City and Chelsea it will lose its appeal very quickly?

In theory but I think there are too many great players for just 2 teams to dominate. Also, I think player ability is also subjective as well - the biggest issue is that only 4 teams can make Champ League from EPL.

Champions League wage structure and no Champions League revenue. Their being in the CL has been factored into their wage structure for 20 years.

I have to say that I am finding the level of accuracy for ITK information in here of the highest standard in comparison to the scuttlebutt bandied about elsewhere on the internet forums. I compliment all of the ITK gurus, not only for the credibility of their sources but also for the manner in which they have handled the recent 'slings and arrows' of criticism from a small number of members. I always look forward to their contributions and appreciate being one step ahead of the other Tottenham websites.

My humble contributions in the player threads would by no means come under the banner of ITK and are basically a recipe of feedback from personal friends and contacts, website research and a huge spoonful of guesswork based on my experiences of Italian football and the manner in which Fabio usually operates.

Thanks again guys and I look forward to your 'informed' observations in the coming three weeks of transfer window. (y)

@Romario up for signing of the window for Spurs Community I reckon.

That's ITK.

If the info about many other clubs being in trouble is true then that’s very interesting, and if we are going to sell our star player for a hefty sum, this seems like a smart time to do it.

I’m quite excited to see what Paratici could do with a transfer kitty of £200m+ while other clubs are desperate to sell. Could genuinely set us up strongly for the next 5+ years if we get this right.

It also means that 140 million now could be equivalent to 200 plus next season in terms of players being let go as clubs desperate for cash. I think that’s an important factor to weigh against not sending out the wrong message and letting him go cheaply. Getting 100 for Kane next season is quite dramatically worse than 150 for him now. A lot more than 50 mill effectively.

Very knowledgeable poster. Makes me wonder if he is close to Fabio...might even be the man himself!
Shame you can only post one response icon. I wanted to give you a like, optimistic and a funny for that but I wrapped them all up in a 'creative' instead.
