I reckon Romerio is actually Yankspurs under a different guise and will reveal his true colours soon once we start losing a few matches?
Once again a post which warrants multiple responses but with a choice limited to just one it has to be "like".

Called it!
Perhaps Romario and Hank can't appear on the same forum at the same time as their antithesis nature would create a mindmeld implosion of such proportions the world would instantly become a better/worse place?

they withdrew the fine after initial discussions with Harry sat

What I was told was that he asked for the extra time off and was told no but still took it anyway

The club let the story run as they have been livid largely with Charlie , harry annoyed them with the neville interview pre the villa game when we had a chance of cl or Uefa football he also pissed the dressing room off

Charlie has been leaking to there media the sun showbiz thing was all him as were all the sky and other media stuff , Daniel had had enough

Paul miller is very well connected both with the club and certain players in this case he is giving a statement from the Kane families side of things , the biggest thing you should take from that is that the Kane family are open to discussing a new deal with spurs

I can say with some certainty that one of two things will happen between now and the 23rd of Aug , either Kane will be sold for 160 million plus and Fab will have a good week to spend it in the window or Kane will sign a massive contract I do not believe the club want to do this all over again next summer its not good for Kane or Spurs

Both outcomes would be fantastic for Spurs.

Not sure how anyone else feels, but fuck giving Kane a new contract!

He's pissed me off too but if he gives the big move up and signs a new 5 year deal WITHOUT a release clause then I'm sure all will be forgiven eventually. I know Gerrard didn't skip training or anything but he was close to joining Chelsea but it didn't happen and he's probably their biggest ever legend now.

Either way, £160m or a new contract giving us secutiry would be a decent outcome from this shitshow.

I imagine if the Kane's really want to come to the table for a new contract then the only reason is they think that they can insert a release clause. Considering he has 3 years left with us anyway, there is little value in that for spurs unless it's around the 180 million-200 million mark. So for that reason unless Kane decides he's staying the course then it's not worth the clubs trouble to give him more money. The idea of giving him more money to stay one more season is absolutely pointless to me. His value with 2 years on the current deal will be worth more than the chuckle brothers think they could get on a release clause.

He’s the best striker in the world, are we really going to throw the baby out with the bath water over this? Would be cutting our nose off to spite our face. If he’s happy to stay then it’s best for Spurs that any continued gossip about him leaving is put to bed, anew contract does that. I don’t like how any of this has played out, but I’d much rather keep the best striker in the world, than have the best striker in the world regularly scoring goals against us.

It just feels like the club has just caved. We forgive all and he wants away unless he gets another huge pile of cash? And we're going to give it to him?

My big fear is that he fucks his ankles again, and we have half the player on huge wages that we're not able to move on.

I say all this while acknowledging the club knows more about the whole situation than I, but it seems like a terrible decision from the outside.

Harry still our best player and if he signs a new contract the best for us too IMHO.
Yes didn't go about it the right way but really is the norm with modern footballers.

I want him gone now but I’m also an absolute sucker and if he signed a new contract (no release clause or anything) I’d be very happy

There would be a clause in it. I know Dragon has detailed, but more too it than that! I won’t share that here. That would be suicidal.

I care about having the best players on the pitch. Kane is the best striker in the league and what he said to Neville whilst gutting I couldn't blame him. Club was poorly managed and on a downward trajectory. I felt the same but I can't get a transfer.

Signing and commiting to stay for the rest of his career and break greaves record is optimum for me.
