Not good news for us with the tevez news. It now means selling clubs will add millions more as City are now looking

Not really, anyone we are looking at would be overlooked by City. They will be looking at the Eto's, Ibrahimovic's, etc.

The kind that are a whole pay grade above our targets.

What would you say we deem as reasonable maybe £12m?

i dont know mate, just wouldnt see us paying what they would let him go for if the sums required to take kling on to city were anything to go by you know?..

i think he is a good player & i would pay £18m for sure....would everton sell for £18m??

If Tevez does go to Madrid then maybe it will convince Adebayor not to wait for a move there and look to us..?

Everything is sounding positive about Rossi. I don't think Redknapp would shoot his mouth off he hadn't been given information telling him that a deal is possible. If this happens within the next few weeks i'm sure we will all start feeling alot more optimistic about forthcoming season and the club in general.

I think £18mil would do the job, the only reason they got 23mil for lescott is because it was city that were in for him.

David Moyes could prob get 3 players with £18mil, it just depends if they have adequate cover at cb if he leaves and I,m sure he would be very interested in joinin us.

Jagielka and Cahill are so overrated .... why would we spend £12 - 18m on Jagielka who is nearly 29?

I think we are all underestimating the pull of our club. We do do ground work before we bid (normally). We must had been given good vibes from Rossi as we are making a good and proper bid.

By the way, I posted earlier that jagielka could be another option for us. Anyone like the idea of that?

Jagielka is a player I've all ways rated.

Would be major coup if we can bring him in.

I agree. If we had no chance of getting him Redknapp would've said "he's a triffic player, a top top drawer forward but I can't see him coming here" or something like that

Think Dann will finish up in London, but not with us

Would be surprised if Cahill wasn't a Gooner by the end of the window and it remains to be seen whether AVB would want Dann at Chelsea so I think he may be a viable candidate.

going on Harry's comments tonight, it does sound like that there is an interest from the Rossi camp regarding a proposed moved to Spurs.

cant see him stating all that and putting the emphasis on Levy like that unless a deal is a distinct possibility.

more like 8 million given his age.

Agreed, I think it will be difficult to sign a top cb this summer as it will be hard to guarantee them first team football due to the fact we already have good defenders, I mean who would be dropped?

So I think we will only be able to sign a cb that is the same level as bassong, so I don,t see the point unless we sign a truly world class one and I cant see that happening. I think this is one of the main reasons we have been quiet in the window due to the fact it is very difficult to improve our team unless we are to spend £25mil +.
