I think it's much more likely we're struggling to move them on and Poch is just making the best of it, rather than them actively being a part of Poch's plans.
Agreed , they are in our second team, where i imagine everyone is available

Just getting rid of some of the dross and replacing with the kids would be an improvement imo

I think we can do that..we can get Pritchard back can't we? Maybe the kids can't fill in up front though.. but I'm quite sure we'll weaken the squad despite being in three competitions still.

I know, let's sell or release 5/6 of our squad and replace them with a couple of loans that Poch inevitably won't want. Same old shit again.

Must admit, I've wanted Lennon sold for quite awhile, but selling him and not bringing in any depth at the wide positions would be a horrible decision. We are so incredibly thin at those positions right now.

I'd be happy enough if we gave oduwa the opportunity

I'd rather release 5/6 of our squad that Poch doesn't want then continue to hold onto them and pay their wages. We are cluttered with unwanted players.

Yep. Kaboul, Capoue, Paulinho, Lennon, Soldado and Ade all need to be gone by next season. Maybe Vlad as well.

The kids are our future, make the most of them.

I know we need to keep some balance in the way of experience but as you say 5/6 if not more have no future with us, the process needs to be fast tracked imo

Blew us out in the summer, can't see any reason he'd change his mind at this point
Did he, though? I just remember us sniffing around. I dont remember hearing that we ever bid, let alone have one accepted, or even being in discussions with him. I think its more likely we kicked the tires for a bit, heard United were interested so we thought LVG was gonna get him so we fucked off elsewhere

I think any player in the Dutch league is for the taking if the deal is good for the selling club. PSV would not turn down a decent offer and I don't see Depay rejecting the chance to join us.

Lol we aren't velociraptors eating a kill who bounce when T Rex shows up to the party. I think it's much more likely that Depay got wind of Man U and van Gaal's interest and quickly lost interest in us.

If we recall Pritchard then selling Lennon makes sense. I must say I'm ambivalent about him going. He's done reasonably well when he's played this season, especially against Everton, but Pochettino obviously doesn't want him.

We should be keeping Vlad, though. Had another good game today. Kaboul, Adebayor, Paulinho and Capoue can all go. Not surprising about Holtby, but an odd decision all the same. He would add far more to the team than some who are getting game time at the moment, and it's madness to let Carroll go, especially when after Mason and Bentaleb we have no central midfielders who can pass the ball forwards with any kind of incisiveness.

Problem with suggesting throwing all our academy players into the fray is that being Young they are inconsistant which of course is part of the learning curve.
Better to blood them in slowly rather than people getting on their backs for poor performance, what we need are players that are good to go right now and which will add to this team with immediate impact.

Thing is if we don't sign anyone I'd rather blood them now than carry on with players we don't want and aren't part of the bigger picture.

We do need to balance youth out with experience though

We've got 35 players. We need to whittle off about 10 before we start adding in any new ones.

An overloaded squad of unhappy/demotivated bit-part players who aren't trusted does no one any good at all.

I would just like to remind everyone that it's been nearly 18 months since we last purchased an attacking player, yet the evidence suggests that we're not making too many moves to sign an attacker. All I can describe it as is fucking bullshit.
