Most would improve our first team atm why get the one who will be turned on the quickest if all goes tits up?

There may not be pride in looking at him like a piece of meat but that's how he sees us and if we sign him, someone who clearly prefers Arsenal and who's a proven mercenary, we lose all of our identity, an identity created and fought for by legends such as Bill Nicholson, Danny Blanchflower and Ledley King.

We've had George Graham as our manager and William Gallas captain us. I don't really think Remy is the straw that breaks the camel's back on that one.

Let it go man, those days are long gone. Players don't give a shit about the club they play for anymore. The best we can hope for now is watching the team play some attacking football and hope that the players at least pretend to like the chicken badge whilst they are here. Remy for cheap? Fine by me.

Remy is not a Tottenham Hotspur supporter, so why should we care if he would prefer to join Arsenal. Who would join us instead of a Champions League club like Arsenal.

He's not doing anything wrong.

But why in all honesty do we want this guy at Spurs? Apart from 14 goals I just can't see the attraction, there are many others out there who wouldn't dilute our image and most of our players are likely to perform better next season anyway.

Remy would be a very solid start to our summer business. Knows where the net is that fella and is lightning.

He did last season, but he hasn't exactly been Mr Consistency throughout his career. Safer bet than Soldado, though.

IMO he's not doing much right either.

Fantastic attitude that is considering we still have the likes of Dawson at the club, and abroad the likes of Totti, De Rossi, half the squad at Barca, Del Piero and closer to home the likes of Baines have showed loyalty to their clubs through thick and thin granted for most, they haven't experienced much thin but there are still those who hold true traditional values in football and I find it deplorable that some can so easily disregard these true values.

We even have the likes of Siggy, Friedel and Walker who realise the potential and honesty of our club and they are truly grateful to be at the club even though there could be better offers out there.

Even BAE who openly plays for money has shown a fierce loyalty to Spurs, he wants to see us in our new stadium and walks and talks with fans on match-days and goes to more games at WHL than half our supporters (granted that's because he can afford it more than most).

No Remy please. I beg of you, Daniel. We dont need another Ade. The idea is to get rid of Ade, not buy another one.

I've never understood this definition of itk as being purely amateur gossips and excluding professionals such as stobart who clearly has some good sources. Of course done journos are just hacks making it up as they go but then so are some itks. Wouldn't we be better off dividing them by reliability rather than by whether it's their actual job or not?

Wanting to play for Barca isn't exactly a show of loyalty, they are right at the top of the tree in terms of club status. Baines jumped ship from Wigan if I remember correctly. Friedel is in the twilight of his career, much of which was spent playing at Blackburn and Aston Villa so it is hardly surprising he is happy to be at Spurs, whilst Siggy is also at the best club he could hope to play for, since he is clearly not of the required standard. Walker meanwhile, no doubt would spit the dummy if Real Madrid came calling, he left his boyhood club Sheffield Utd didn't he? BAE is just an oddball.

Yeah, apart from being proven in the PL, scoring goals at two clubs both with worse players than us, having lightning pace and being able to play as a WF or a CF, I can't think of any reason to want him in our team. A complete mystery.

Exactly. This guy is yet another notch in the proven track record of Broomfield for identifying Prem-successful players, as this guy hit the ground running immediately at a reeling QPR and actually managed to give them some semblance of hope for a time.
