Buying Hulk would mean that Bale is gone. Lamela and Bale could fit in the same team, Hulk, Lamela and Bale... Never going to work unless you bring in Hulk to be a back up. I really hope we are looking at some creativity on the left/centre as well, some one with a right foot. At the moment we seem to just want left footers.

Yup. Pretty much.

The transfer window doesn't really exist, it's a registration period. Bale could potentially be sold on Sep 10th, but he can't play for Real until the next registration period, Jan 1st.

Does this mean its bad news for the deal? I don't know what to make of the whole situation!

Not sure if its bad news or not however AtlantaYids snippet contradicts ryantegans from last night who said negotiations are complete just a medical & sign his name when he arrives...

Hulk would certainly buy into the philosophy that AVB is going for strength and power in the team like at Porto. Lamela would bring tha touch of class and skill. I like the idea of both, playing either side of Soldado, with Townsend and Siggurdson prodivng alternatives from the bench. Surely wouldn't be good news for Lennon if Hulk arrives either.

Well that could tie in with the offer for Lennon from Cardiff, but I think this Hulk link is to just show we have options if Lamela goes south, after all, Arsenal have been sniffing here and his Agent will do what is best for the player, we should have all learned from the Willian fiasco.

I can't see us signing Lamela and Hulk, as both would be used in a Wide Right position of a 433 or a 4231 (unless Lamela can roam, but that's for the player thread).

Fairly sure EL can play RWF, LWF or in the hole.

Hulk can do all that and cover for Soldado when required.
