Regarding Gards earlier ITK, Barcelona themselves have said they are no longer chasing David Luiz. Raises questions regarding his source.

It was said at the start of the window that we would probably go back and have a look at him.

Im guessing we will have a look, They will give us a price, we will negotiate it and then they will up it at the last moment again.

just sayin - upi dont know how good Ade is now..... seen him play one good game in over a year so if youre 100% certain of this fact then what youre saying is that playing with 10 men is better than having Leandro.

Edit: im not a leandro fan, just cant understand illogical posts.

Just trying to wade through the irony...

we have seen it plenty of times where a team is no longer interested in a player only to sign them

Gotta think that this would be dependant on Ade or JD leaving though.

Why are people worried about this Bale "news" if he is actually refusing to train then he will end up staying as Levy will just say "fuck you then Gareth, we don't have to even have to negotiate"

Yeah, that's exactly what Levy is likely to do.

Levy showed previously that if a player plays up, he ends up getting his wish.

In what sense is this illogical? Adebayor had a bad season last year, agreed, but he has proven his quality in the Premier League over a number of years. You may not like his attitude but he has more to his game than Damiao, by far. Obviously my opinion but I have watched enough of Leandro to believe he wouldnt contribute as much as a fit Ade would.

SSN reporting that Bale has emptied the pram and stayed at home refusing to come to work.

Maybe I might try that on Monday 2nd.

"I'm sorry, I can't be at work today - this transfer window has been very difficult for me..."

We should all try it!

IF that is true, how is it any different to handing in a transfer request?! For me it's worse.

At least there is an honesty and transparency to handing in a transfer request.

Yep. Take Rooney; he clearly wants to leave United for whatever reason, but he will continue to turn up, train, and play with the same level of commitment he always does. He may be a bit of a cock, but at least he's being professional and sometimes that's all you can ask for.

That must be why Modric signed for Chelsea then?

If Bale kicks off it will harden our stance and he will be made to stay another season.

I doubt that. The Modric thing was more a case of our policy against selling to a rival now. We never entered negotiations with Chelsea, Real we have been negotiating with all summer. There's a difference.

I thought Rooney's performance was very good last night, considering he couldn't be 100% fit. But more importantly, his attitude and commitment was massively impressive given the circumstances. Ok, he's at United one of the biggest Clubs in the world already but still - it really impressed me.

Compare that to Bale, or even worse Cabaye - who just won't play because his head has been turned. Its pathetic.

Ade was fit last year. He just didnt try. I dont disagree Ade is the better player when firing on all cylinders but would you risk starting him this season? The guy is a mercenary, everyone told us this when we bought him and last year he showed his true colors to us. Hopefully he will leave and we dont have to talk about him any more.

Regardless i would always rather have someone who is trying but not as good starting than someone who takes the piss out of the playing fans byt acting like they dont give a flying fuck about winning games.

Also Ade missed more than 2 sitters from only yards away last year, goals which Leandro would have put away.

Fair point by Hertyid, surely if you're going to skip training you might as well do an Ade and 'miss the flight' rather than making it back in time, and then just staying home ?
