So we have ITK from JJ & Gards both referring to players going out before coming in. Example of Sandro for Schneiderlin. Why do some people think it is a finance issue?? Surely it is just purely a staffing issue as in too many players in one position. Decent ITK regarding playing from the back which is why Vorm will replace the Old Man.

Any one else feel the need to actually mention the letters ITK in your reply's now to try and avoid the great one's EYE

Lanzini is very close to joining Besiktas. A Besiktas board member confirmed yesterday that a last offer was made for him. Gallardo, current manager of River, said that there is a big chance thzt Lanzini will leave River this transfer window.

If it's the Argie we are after, we might have to act quickly.

I thought the Argentine we were after was 19 not 21...also not as unheard of as was suggested either...not household but name has been bandied about for a while.

The only guess I have is that they want to announce Davies/Vorm acquisition and Siggi sale all at the same time.

Considering Caulker has just moved to QPR, likely for a healthy fee, I wonder if we get any of that money?

In regards to Vorm, I'm really loving the ITK and considering the Davies pics I would be surprised if we were waiting on Vorm to sign to announce the double deal, sadly I reckon we're waiting on Siggy & Swansea.

Been told Davies will be announced today or tomorrow, Siggy going the other way, but seperate deals so might be a day or two later. Rose is not a happy bunny and if the right bid comes in he will be off. Poch has told a number of the youngsters that they will get game time this season and a chance to prove themselves. Immediate expectations have been lowered but 4th is still the target and long term expectations are high.

What do we think about that?

i don't think sc needs more ammunition to slate rose.

It's not exactly surprising since everything we've heard Re: Rose and having competition is that he wants to know he's the #1 choice at LB. So, bringing on Davies directly goes against what apparently Rose wants. Basically, I'd expect Rose will be sold. He's going to want playing time in these formative years. Sure, I'd like to see him relish competition because in my opinion competition brings growth. But, Rose simply wants to play so I can't really fault him for that. I just hope he goes about it the right way.

If he's off then we do not want the same situation as last season - reliance on a single LB.

Problem is that Fryers is still a way from being a first team LB if Davies was out for 3 months, Vertonghen does not like playing there and Naugtom is not a LB, so do we need to buy a second LB if Rose is off ?

It was obvious to me last season that Fryers was already better than Rose - so much more assured, aware and composed.

It's my biggest concern as well. I'd love a veteran LB, but those generally costs more in wages/week. Fryers has developed nicely, but I'm with you in that if Davies goes down, relying on him sounds a little bit scary.
