I can't believe we'd sell Caulker before we signed a replacement. So if the Vlad deal has fallen through then surely Caulker stays?

Yep, I expect him to be dragged out of the medical room still in his pants and driven straight back to Spurs. Can't let him go now surely.

Look it up yourself :finger:
I wasn't being serious kiddo, we were linked previously when he was 48. he is now 56.

I was stipulating that it would be just our luck that we'd get 10 mil and Carvalho for Bale and lose Caulker when it looked like we were signing a promising young CB and getting useful RM players in exchange if any

Pft.. what does he know... (n)

LOL. To be fair, I don't think it should have much of an effect, at least I hope it doesn't. It's not exactly the best way to start his Spurs career but if he let's that effect him too much then that's more a sign of his character than anything else.

With Paulinho it's my understanding that some Russian clubs met his buy out clause and that was it. Inter expressed an interest but didn't pay up, if they did, you can be sure he would have chosen them over us. So at the end of the day he choose to come to Spurs, sure, being lied to is not great but he's still in a top league and he will still be playing alongside the best player in the world. SANDRO.

Have seen it mentioned that AVB was never particularly impressed with Caulker and there are also question marks about his attitude off the pitch. Yes, this is from 'that' site, but from an account that does have a certain connection with Spurs, I believe.

So basically Caulker is loved by AVB and has a great attitude.

If you had told me we'd sell Berbatov and bring in Frazer Campbell on deadline day or sign Rasiak I wouldn't have believed you.... this is Spurs remember and no one does it quite like us.

Caulker never had great pace, his positional play was poor, for a totem pole he couldn't head and whilst he was a physical presence he made me nervous when he lined up at CB especially alongside gallas! £8m+ is decent money

There's many reasons that I'm not shocked caulker is leaving.

Is alderwield still available?

Glad it looks like soldado is done :)

So it looks like yet ANOTHER transitional season if all the hyperbole is to be believed. Too many changes are even worse than not the right ones. IF we bring in too many players - even class ones - especially those that have never played in EPL then you leave yourself wide open to a disorganised team which even Chrystal Palace would fancy their chances against. This TW could really get out of hand and do more harm than good in the short term so yet ANOTHER dodgy start could be on the cards IMO and yes I am fed up and depressed now cos there has not been a whole lot of good news CONFIRMED since Paulinho and Chadli.
