There has been so me cracking ITK whilst I have been away, typically...

Credit will be due to The Journalist for the Lloris ITK.

Brad is also a great servant to the club and i hope he stays on as i think he is a great keeper to have in the squad, his record speaks for himself.

Plus JJ saying 2 strikers in?! Oooh... Assuming one is Ade, did anyone take a good guess at the other one?

R.

JJ's info on a further two strikers coming in, after Ade, is very interesting. If we assume from his info that Defoe is out, and Kane is yoof backup (possibly going on loan) how do we fit another two strikers into our squad? Presumably one would be competition for Ade and one would be a 'wide' striker as competion for Bale, Lennon and VdV?

triffic. might as well keep gomes then!
except he has zero confidence and is a total pussy when the going gets tough. Fake injuries, saves pens then gives away pens, lets the ball slip through his fingers time and time again. Bit different to punching instead of catching crosses.

gomes horror show during the Real Madrid game convinced me that Lloris will be a massive upgrade on him....not to mention the howler when Nani scored with the stupidest of goals

So... Lloris, Ade and Moutinho are already 'done deals' in my head. Then 2 strikers to come in (I assume the out will be Defoe) and maybe a versatile winger option for Lennon/Bale. Not over fussed about Remy but others seem to like him and he seems to fit the bill for both Striker and Winger roles so our transfer inbox could look like this:

Lloris
Lascelles
Fryers
Vertonghen
Moutinho
Sigurdsson
Remy
Adebayor
Leandro
and...Oscar?
and...Hoilett?

Loving the rumours and ITK but loving the fact that a lot of it is actually happening even more. :)
Agreed. Can't quite believe everything that's happening at the mo. I know I support Spurs, but I'm so happy I'm starting to think I've had a bang on the barnet. Being "happy" and supporting "Spurs" doesn't normally equate, so drink deep fellow sufferers, before someone adds "some water to the wine" and dilutes the good news. But wait... the last time that happened we ended up with Verts... Fuck me, the world's a funny old place these days. Time to go and lie down with a large bottle of red pills...

That's what I'm also thinking Star. Have a feeling Parker may miss the first few weeks with injury / recovery and Sandro will take his chance and AVB will stick with him.

Sandro will miss the first few weeks cos of the Olympics.

Livermore?

The Olympics finishes before the Charity Shield. Sandro will use the Olympics as pre season and still have a week or so training time with us before the season so why will he be missing? We wouldn't be stupid enough to let him have a holiday with Parker likely to be out for the first few weeks. Would we?

Well calm down a little bit squire. We haven't actuall signed Moutinho, Adebayor or Lloris yet so let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We all know (or should know) that things can change dramatically and quickly in a transfer window so it's probably best to wait until the players are actually signed before we start spaffing left, right, centre, diagonally, up and down and inside out.

It's exciting indeed...but let's not build ourselves up too high just yet as that can make the fall pretty ouchy.

The only reason you're happy is because we are not actually playing.

Give it a few weeks and we will lose away to Reading 3-0 with Verts getting sent off, Ade missing a penalty (and not caring), Lloris having a howler and AVB squatting all over the Madejski stadium.

:)

LOL with Defoe scoring a hattrick against us!
TBH I'd take that if we then went and won at Old Trafford...

Thank fuck for the voice of reason! Optimism is a wholly inappropriate emotion for a Spurs supporter [puts gun in mouth and pulls trigger] ;)

Feel better now...

My honest take on things.

Defoe isn't going anywhere.

Our strike force will be Defoe, Ade, Kane and 1 other.

Lloris
Moutinho

In talks, advanced stages I believe.

Vert
Sig

Signed.

Oscar won't happen.

We have Gio, who could be useful, deployed in the right formation, certainly as back up to challenge certain areas.

Bentley if he works hard.

Hudd to come back.

Dawson to come back.

Talks about an experienced centre back in Carvalho, could be usefull.

All very exciting to be honest, and IF they all happened, I'm sure this would cover the losses of Modric and VDV, imagine if we kept them with the above additions.. it would be one hell of a squad, that could potentially compete strongly in all 4 competitions.

AVB will go in for the Uefa League thing this year, I'm sure about it. And he'll need a strong squad to do well in it.

I really hope so, my only major complaint with Harry was that he didn't take the Europa League seriously. I understand his reasoning but we should have at least qualified from the group, I think we should always try to win every competition we're in.

I don't get the Carvalho rumours.

We have Kaboul, Verts, Dawson, Caulker, Bassong. Yes they're fairly young, but the first 3 have enough experience for Prem and Euro league games. If Carvalho is coming in as an experienced head and not to play much, why is he any better than Ledley King giving his advice?
