Yup. I really wanted AVB to succeed but it just isn't working.

He really comes across as a nice and sympathetic guy, and I really wish him all the best in the future, with us or with another team. Not sure I believe the rumours just yet, though...

And if he actually gets the stick, I would like to see Laudrup as our new mangager.

Maybe he was gone prematch, apparently Cappello was in the crowd, 2+2=3
Does seem a bit too coincidental doesn't it, but maybe that's jumping to conclusions because 0-5 wasn't something anyone could have predicted? I think I'd rather give AVB one last chance than have Capello. Not sure.

I heard Capello was there as a pundit for Sky Italia.

Again: Capello is the Russia manager. Russia are in the World Cup. Unless Capello wants to give up a few months of work, he's not coming here.

Ali Z on COYS:

AVB is gone just a case of it being announced, personally think Chairman was looking for an excuse to get rid.

They have been putting together a list of alternatives for weeks.

Sherwood/Freund partnership is a definite possibility

They have others on the list, getting rid of AVB will be expensive. In addition it will be difficult to get a top coach mid season.Franco has made some suggestions, Levy would prefer to carry on down the route of a young bright coach with new ideas but none readily available or gettable till the summer, hence why sherwood/freund is a strong runner.

Franco trying to twist a few arms, hope he does or i am not liking the alternatives.

Well, he seems conviced. As far as I know Ali Z doesn't have the best track record but he isn't speaking in riddles here is he?

Would be interesting to see Freund in charge. But really hope we get a better replacement if he's gone.

What's wrong with Sherwood? He is unproven I guess but we hardly know what he is made of yet. As an interim manager he is probably as good as we can get.
We're Tottenham Hotspur, not the Dog and Duck. We can do better than Sherwood without even trying hard :p

Franco better get twisting, sucking or rubbing. Whatever needs to happen. Interim managers, especially Sherwood, fills me with mild dread.
