I'm warming to AVB - rather him than dated Capello, weirdo Benitez and risky Martinez. Moyes would be unflattering but sensible. AVB perhaps biggest risk with biggest rewards.

Each time Levy has fired his manager, he has had a new Manager already lined up.

Not true, we had to live with David Pleat for 3/4 of a season!!

Yeah I hope its sorted soon as possible really. All the sounds from the club are exactly what I wanted - a young ambitious coach to build something at Spurs

Martinez is in Gdansk so if Levy has gone away he could be out there to meet Martinez I guess, things seem to be looking likely Martinez will be our next boss

I'd like to assume that there was a plan in place. I also like the thought of this being a long term plan. Of the two, I'd much prefer AVB - said elsewhere, I think he could turn into a great manager and being Mourinho's mini-me is not bad! Either way, I hope the situation is sorted soon and we can get on with recruiting the next Premiership champions!

Even then, remember stuff can change very quickly. Currently DL's intention is to not rush things but that can all change with a phone call.

My attempt to reconcile the serious ITK on this then.

JJ - not de Boer or Martinez. Wont happen quickly (likely because of Euros)
ValYid - Mourinho pushing Levy towards AVB
Dragon - Will happen quickly. Young manager


So:

Blanc is first choice and we'd planned to wait and see what happens with France at Euros.

Have today though been given indication from him that he'll now extend and take France to WC.

Have moved on to second choice - AVB

I think that maybe partly true in that nothing won't be revealed until pontetially after the Euro's but I'm damn sure something has either happened or happening as we speak.
