I'm bewildered by the attention Spurs fans are giving to a former wage thief. And if he was so altruistic, why not just give a week's wages to charity?
Given time on the ball against ordinary sides, look good. When hassled and harried against the better sides, very average.
For most of his career had the turning circle of the Arc Royal and absolutely hopeless when we didn't have the ball. A luxury you couldn't afford most of the time IMO
Has never scored enough nor created enough on a consistant basis.
Looking good sometimes now for a Mickey Mouse club.
No pressure on him and is a big fish in a very small pond
Oh and he never had that 'winning mentality' at the top level either
Huddlestone had many faults but his passing wasn't one of them. Our present crop of midfielders look very clunky in comparison to the way Tom strokes the ball around. Have seen most of his games for Hull and thy rely on him to do most of the basic connecting stuff and he ensures ball retention through his wonderful first touch. He is playing regularly now in the EPL and may even sneek a world cup spot IMO
I have followed him closely since the fans saw him out, and he has performed really well this season.
People talk about him being poor when hurried or playing poorly against the top sides, but he played well at Chelsea, at home to United the other day whilst I also thought he was decent at the Lane.
But Hudd is being utitlised well by Hull in the 3-5-2 system, something we failed to do other than when we first made the Champions League.
I would love to see him in the England squad this summer, and I wish we had him available for our team selection at the moment.
