GK: I don’t think we need anything immediate here. A prospect for the future, who Lloris can mentor for a while, would be best. But if we can get Henderson, I think that would be a smart move. Gollini is awful.

LCB: We need another left-footed centre-back who can compete with Davies. I think Max Kilman would be the best move here, young, homegrown, Premier League proven.

CCB: Dier is a good player and I’m happy for him to stay first choice here. Conte doesn’t seem to fancy Rodon though, which means we need a backup who can play here - Sanchez and Tanganga just don’t have the comfort on the ball for the role. Felipe at Atletico Madrid is out of contract in the summer, a veteran who may be happy to sit on the bench - so he’s my choice.

RCB: With Romero and Sanchez, I think we’re all good here for the time being. Tanganga needs a loan, preferably to a Premier League team.

LWB: We’re set for the time being, with two young attacking players in this position already.

RWB: An urgent area to upgrade. Emerson is, I think, okay as a backup, but Doherty has to go. I don’t like Traore - no end product - so would look elsewhere. A dip into the Ajax talent factory for Mazraoui would be a good move, and would give us a goal threat from deep and wide.

DM: Skipp and Hojbjerg give us all the defensive solidity in midfield that we need.

CM: Lo Celso, Ndombele, and Dele all out. Winks is a decent option for the squad under Conte’s management. I think we could do with some more creativity and goal threat here. Kessie seems like a good option out of contract, I also like the look of Tolisso from Bayern but don’t know his injuries situation?

LW: Son unchallenged starter, Bergwijn as backup/rotation. Gil could do with a Premier League loan.

RW: We need a creative player here, someone who is comfortable on the ball and creates goals. Raphinha, Kulusevski, Szoboszlai, there’s a lot of good young players out there we should be looking at. Lucas as backup/rotation, Clarke out.

ST: Kane looks happy to stay, but I think we ought to start looking at an heir just in case. I like the look of Isak, but there’s plenty of good alternatives out there. Not 100% on Vlahovic. Scamacca may be good?

January IN: Mazraoui, Kilman, RW

In order of priority. Mazraoui brings some attacking threat on the right, and can do a job as a RW if needed. Kilman covers both LCB and CCB, so should be brought in soon. A RW would be the cherry on top but I’m happy with Lucas for not.

January OUT: Ndombele, Lo Celso, Dele, Doherty, Rodon (loan), Tanganga (loan), Gil (loan)

Three players we need to move on while we can, three that need experience of Premier Legaue football. Also Doherty.

Summer IN: Felipe, Kessie/Tolisso, Isak/Scamacca, Henderson

Not a busy window by numbers, really, but these signings would really round out the squad.

Summer OUT: Whoever’s left from January. Rodon, Tanganga, Gil out on loan unless they’ve dazzled on their first loan. Sarr needs a Premier League loan if possible.

Lloris/Henderson
Romero/Sanchez - Dier/Felipe - Davies/Kilman
Mazraoui/Emerson - Skipp/Hojbjerg - Kessie/Winks - Reguilon/Sessegnon
Raphinha/Lucas - Kane/Isak - Son/Bergwijn

throw these into the hat
Hickey Left Back boy has oodles of potential
Zakaria - would make a lot of sense in midfield
Wijhaldum would bring a lot to the midfield including goals
Okafor - from Salzburg going to be a star and is young
Vargas - another Swiss offers cover all over the forward line
if Ginter is available E of contract we should be all over him
we desperately need a right back
we can surely find a young creative player

Realistically for this window as several reports have indicated, the best we could hope for is 3 in, Traore being one of them. Here it goes:

IN:
Traore
De Ketelaere
Wijnaldum

Out:
Doherty
Rodon
Ndombele
Dele
Lo Celso

Not sure who is out there for LCB. And im dreaming if i think we would get Vlahovic, but if there is any chance then get him in. There will be more midfielders available in the Summer than there will be decent strikers. Think this would be a pretty strong base to build whilst keeping us competitive for top 4 this season.

At this stage I would like to see the following gone forever, never to darken our doors again, i repeat forever...
1. Ndombele - probably have to carry him out, to lazy to walk
2. GLC - my 10yr old daughter can kick a ball harder, get out, such a disappointing signing
3. Dele Ali - some day you will realise what you have frittered away, you sad immature clown, off to tiktok with you.
4. Matt Doherty - Not good enough - esp if Traore comes in for rwb role.
5. Rodon - meh, multiple managers have refused to give him a run, so must be a reason for same, sell if interest.

On the maybe list, do we keep or get rid, the jurys out selection....
1. Sessengnon - awful against Chelsea, great against Pool, made of glass, would not be against loaning or selling
2. Tanganga- I not home grown then would be on list above, needs a loan, but if price is right sell
3. Sanchez - Looks ok in back 3, but we need players who are comfortable with ball at their feet, think he will stay for now.
4. Emerson - not convinced at all, but my just be adjusting to Premiership, young, but got skinned in several games.
5. Gil - loads of potential, but ala Skipp might benefit from a loan, keep if we intend to use.

Get now in Jan...which we all know is hard to do.....3 of the following...
1. DV - i really think it is now or never, most likely never unfortunately.
2. Wjinaldum - 6 month loan makes so much sense, slot straight in and strengthen the middle immediately.
3. Traore - marmite, not sure what he is, but looks like he is coming either way, will def be entertaining.
4. CH - we need a left sided CH, DeVrij possibly doable now, but more likely in the summer.
5. Patrick Schick - We have needed a winger/striker for 8 yrs now, he fits the bill, probably cost more now than in summer, but one Kane injury will make it look cheap.
6. Bissouma, stop playing around will cheap options, premiership proven, just what we need, court case hanging over him, might reduce the price, but makes deal unlikely....me sad...

I have my doubts about Patrici, I have my doubts about his autonomy to do deals without DL sticking his nose in somewhere. The sad fact is we have all been here before, we see whats needed, we know who/whats available, but we have been continuously let down, by downright deplorable scouting and DL and ENIC not investing and instead cutting corners. Will it change, only time will tell, but I am not optimistic.....

Going to try and be realistic.

Jan outs - Tanganga, Gio, Ndombele & Gil.
Jan ins - Traore & a midfielder on loan from PSG.

Summer outs - Rodon, Doherty, Dele & Bergwijn. Gollini Loan option not taken up.
Summer ins - De Vrij, Kessie, CDK, Johnstone & one big signing we push for Conte. Romero made permanent.

With Ndombele and LoCelso out of the squad - if those deals go through of course - I know there’s been lots of chat about the creativity and the way Conte’s system creates chances. But he was hell bent on getting Eriksen from us, and although he had a rough start, went on to help them clinch the title. So, there is room for a playmaker in Conte’s side. It’s not all water carriers as such. The thing is, I have no idea who out there, is a playmaker that can play that bit deeper and get stuck in, but with the quality to pass and shoot at the very highest level.

Not likely, but I've been really impressed with the Brighton trio Webster, Lamptey and Cucurella.

We need 2 top class additions in midfield. This for me is priority number one

Let's say Conte's main formation for the rest of the season will be 3-4-3 as he's hinted to in some of his press conferences lately.
We should be fine in having two players / position for the reminder of the season since we're not in Europe anymore.

Lloris - Gollini

Royal - Doherty
Romero - Tanganga
Dier - Sanchez
Davies - Rodon
Reguilon - Sessegnon

Hojbjerg - Winks
Skipp - ???

Lucas - ???
Kane - Bergwijn
Son - Bryan

Judging from that it's vital we get a RW (Traore) and a CM in.

Shipping out Ndombele, Dele, GLC doesn't help our January Transfers and I'm sure Conte is aware of that. Our main targets will be for Summer so there is no point in spending money now for a CM we don't intend to keep. That's probably why after the Kessie deal collapsed we turned to a loan (Amrabat). Why the deal over Traore is stalling I have no idea. Maybe it's because we think we can get Kulusevski in now after Juve got Vlahovic? Who knows.

So from a realistic point of view:

In:
Traore or Kulusevski
Amrabat or a CM from PSG

Out:
Dele
Ndombele
GLC

Now that would be far from a great window but with some luck and not many injuries TOP 4 would be very much in our hands with that squad.

I was going to do one of these, but I've no idea about the incomings. In a dream world I'd like Traore, a decent CM that can score goals and a forward this window. Next window would be a proper LWB (I don't rate either of Reguilon or Sessegnon there atm), a strong CB, depth CB (I'd be fine letting Rodon, Sanchez and Tanganga go) and another attacker.

RWB - Adama
CM - Guimaraes
FW - Diaz

We get top 4 with those 3 signed in January.

Jan
In: traore, Diaz, any of wijnaldum/guimaraeres/amrabat (on loan with option not obligation)

Out
Ndom/gio/dele/rodon or tangaga/clarke
Bergs IF it means Diaz happens

Lloris - gollini
Doc-emerson (traore when ready)
Romero-sanchez
Dier-romero/sanchez
Davies-???
Reg-sess

Skipp-winks
Win/gui/peh-peh/amrabat

Diaz-lucas
Kane-bergs (or son/diaz)
Son-gill

Then, in summer
Sarr into cm (backup, long term starter)
In:
LCB (starter)
CM (starter)
GK (lbackup, but long term no starter)
ST or 10 (backup)

Out
Doherty
Bergwin or lucas
Emerson if not making it

And.. Look to start integrating a few of u23s / getting minutes in cups for scarlett, devine, patoski, John, options at CB (though after tanganga would prioritise loans here if I'm honest)

Maybe just carries away on the evening diaz wave and will all come crashing down tomorrow, but that doesn't feel as million miles away to a decent squad as I'd been thinking...

Didn't want to clutter up the Diaz thread with wish listing but sky reporting that Adeyemi off to Dortmund for 25-30m to replace Haaland. If we can't get Diaz done then i'd be trying to get in on that and use the leftover budget as a down payment on Bruno Guimarães.
