There is one player that I can think of that would give us an attack that would be very dangerous and would fill a role we really could do with filling to make us formidable in attack.

We don't operate like this but unless we've gone for the cheaper option first (Diaz), as we believe he is just as good, to draw Liverpool out, so we get a clearer run at this player. Highly doubtful we would spend on this player though.

Can't really see any other viable options

So we don't derail the ITK thread @rossdapep. Is the player based in Yorkshire and been mentioned in here in the last few posts? ?

Would Leeds turn down £50m for Raphinha? Should just give them the Diaz money.

We could probably sweeten the deal with a few players also.

He'd be my number 1 choice for the RW position.
Yeah, I think without him they go down.

Also I can imagine he'd have his pick of the top teams in Summer. So I reckon he'll commit to Leeds, help them stay up, and in return they'll listen to offers in July.

IMO it's a non-starter.

Yes. I have made a longer post in the 'wishlist' thread'

Sorry mate, didn't see it at the time. Completely agree with your thoughts.

I struggle to see many other players in the PL who we would target at this stage.

Funny thing is the best chance of new signings getting a pre season is signing them now.

As we all know our summer deals will be done way after the season starts!

I think a reasonable and maybe possible 4 in are Raphinha (just use all the diaz money) Morata (loan) and Amrabat (loan) and Djed Spence

I'll be fine with that

Kulusevski + one of Bentancur/Amrabat makes this a good window.

Add Jeremie Frimpong plus one or more of the reported outgoings and I would call this excellent business for January.

Say we get Amrabat and Kulusevski in on loan, that would leave us with a lot of cash left to spend on a RWB. Who is available realistically at this late stage in the window? I know the obvious answer would be Lamptey but his injury history is worrying considering the price

We need that RWB in and Doherty moved on badly. No interest in him it seems but we need a flying right sided player there before the end of the window

At RWB there is Jeremie Frimpong, Djed Spence, Jayden Bogle and I would have thought Tino Livramento a cheaper alternative to Lamptey but others perhaps disagree. Lamptey too injury prone for me at that price.

Raphinha seems the ideal candidate out on the left - mercurial and would also help to resolve our dreadful set pieces.

I would also like to throw in Pedro Neto and I wonder if us (and others) will see how he responds first to a major injury for the second half of the season but he's got what it takes to play at the highest level. Would mean negotiating with that snake Mendes but considering our recent flirtations with his clientele, I certainly wouldn't rule out us visiting this in the near future.

Apologies if he's already been mentioned, but why aren't we looking at Mikkel Damsgaard? He was great at the Euro's, only 21 and Danish players tend to have no problems adjusting to PL.

Right now?
Kulusevski
Bentancur
Morata

Fine with that, helps problem areas, and leaves the summer to address the others.

Would anyone else like us to look at Dwight Mcneill?

I think Conte would like him and can see him playing in a midfield three or even as a left wing back. Obviously post conte moulding him.

Because he has been in bad form for his club and then got injured.
