With the two Juve lads pretty much wrapped up, I’m actually looking forward to deadline day. Can relax and enjoy whatever comes our way. We have strengthened in two of our weaker positions, so whatever happens now is a bonus.

From all the info we are getting it sounds like there are a lot of deals available and we have an opportunity to make some moves that could really help us push on. Exciting day ahead I think.

Also we need to think about not eating too much otherwise we’ll be full and could miss out on some delightful dishes being offered up in a few months time…

I dont think this is it for us. Could be but if we get guys off, we cant rule out 4 or 5. Dont know why but the next 2 days appear they can be drunk

Let's face it if Dembele wasn't broken in someway we wouldn't stand a chance. At his best he is levels above us and he's an exicitng talent that would give us somejtong different (similar to Adama).

I'm game and we have enough workhorses in the squad to get in some luxury.

This is abit like a chicken and egg situation. Its all well and good saying will be better options in the summer but if the player we take now gets us CL then we are equally in a better place for the summer too.

Ndombele and a few more fringe players out, plus Kulusevski and Bentacourt in already make for a decent Window. Hoping for a VDV’esque transfer tomorrow evening. ?

Not necessarily, we are hardly stacked up front with Gil potentially going on loan

delighted if we get Bentancur, less keen on the Ginge- even though he could be anything.

If we were gonna sign another forward I really wanted it to be someone With physical presence who could also play through the middle.

if Kane goes over we have little chance of CL.

With past reports saying Stevie hasn't settled and wanted to move for family reasons then this could be a goer. Another report earlier saying that the Ajax deal is not dead points to maybe him going.
he's had 2 good games recently, but if we recoup our costs on him then it looks like a good deal from our end.
Getting more exiting with every hour
With the "all you can eat buffet" comment earlier- who knows how many will rock up to Hotspur Way in the next day or so.

Would be a huge signing for is, at just twenty four he is exactly the type of player we need. Conte weaving his magic over this kid would give us a real attacking option.

His injury record by the way is far less than that of Bale.

If according to ITK we are looking to serve up Dembele on a plate, then if that one comes off Paratici can have my meat and two veg anytime..

Given Dembele’s rumoured contract demands at Barca, I wonder what a deal for him looks like. Loan with Barca paying half his wages (rather than just paying all his wages to no register/play him).

I remember really wishing we picked him up when he was at Rennes, and there’s clearly a fantastic player in there when fit, but that _when_ does so much carrying. I saw something along the lines of him having completed 90 minutes less than 20 times at Barca, that’s a pretty worrying state of fitness

Still better than Ndombele I think who has had had a handful of games that lasted 90 minutes

Not true. Dembele has missed 82 games through injury since the 17/18 season. Aged 20-24.
Bale has missed 68 games over the same period. He's 32.

Conte likes solid and reliable players. Dembele is a total crock and these should be his peak years, fitness wise.

As per Goat on the Dembele thread; I surely hope that if we'd get him that Conte can fix his attitude and he can stay fit.

Only just seen this, if we can get him it’s a massive statement of intent. There are concerns with attitude but hopefully it’s Barca that have rubbed him up the wrong way as he didn’t seem to have these problems at Dortmund.
