Until I see N'Koudou holding a Spurs kit, we've got 19 senior squad players. We can barely put together a match day squad.

And you can tell me all you want about how good Edwards, Winks and Onomah are, and I'll tell you about how good Mason, Carroll, Caulker, Livermore, and Townsend were at the U18 level.

I honestly think having a squad this small is negligent for an ownership. We all laughed when Hull was down to 14 or 15 senior players, but we aren't that far off from being a joke.

Also, with just 19 players, our wages have to be near the lowest in the top 10.

Record TV money, CL money, and a transfer profit. What are we doing?

Has the knee jerk thread become the reality thread yet? May as well rename it.

I cannot believe for a second, we allowed all of these players to leave without any concrete targets or offers.

I can honestly see Poch leaving after this season in all honesty. I wouldn't blame him.

He is expected to compete in the league, CL and he done a great job of getting us there..... then baldy goes and derails the show. I can see why Mitchell fell out with the twat.

I usually have Levy's back and think over all he's done a brilliant job during his time with us...
He's taking the piss though if we got 26mil for Mason and Chadli plus all the extra tv and CL dosh! And he doesn't listen to Poch's needs for the squad.
Get that cheque book out now is the time, to dare is to do, come on Levy!!!

I literally cannot BELIEVE we are going into our most important season in years with this bare bones a squad.

We HAVE the cash-- this is nigh on unforgivable.

One of Kane or Janssen will miss a large swath of the season with injury, as will Dembele. You heard it here first.

What players have we allowed to leave now?

Last I heard it was Mason and Chadli.

We got lucky. Doesn't change the fact that the odds of that happening again ain't great. Most teams carry three strikers, minimum. We shouldn't be different, not as far as that goes, especially with the Champions League. Or are you ok with simply hoping and praying that neither one of them gets hurt? Because if they do, I'm sure you'll acknowledge that in that case we'd be fucked.

It's funny how we keep getting lucky each year when the usual summer disaster predictions don't pan out. We play a system with one forward, we have done for the last six years, 2 strikers in that system is mor than enough. And our fixture list hasn't changed we have been in Europefor a decade, there isn't greater scope for injuries now than there was before. If any side loses there best player they are going to be impacted. If City lose Aguero to injury they will struggle. if Arsenal lose Sanchez they will have issues I could go on and on.

I think a manager who is unarguably good at bringing through the youth and getting them working hard and effectively,
is also going to need a high turnover of players to make room for them.

We have lost a lot of good older players previously but when they were sold it was put down to getting rid of the dead wood.
That label does not stick so easily to players like Mason and Chadli and the thought has to be: will the replacements be as good?

Who knows, but this is how MP works and so far it has worked well.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Let me get this right..

Now we are spending TOO MUCH money on players? And youre not happy about it.

Says the man with "Team Soldado" as his footer...Says it all really!
I don't think anyone is pissed at spending too much money, its spending the large amount of money not wisely that's shocking us.

Exactly mate lol can't win can we.

So happy we got him. Yes a little overpriced but just what we need and so are all the players at the moment. I'd be laughing more at Newcastle losing their best player and being in the championship!!

Let the haters hate.
