We have no chance of finishing above them, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd or Arsenal in my opinion.

Really need to take the Europa seriously but we won't
I'm pretty sure we will beat one or 2 of those, and that we will all be seriously challenged by FC AN Other

Don't forget we qualified for the Champions League on the back of a much worse season. The odds might be against us but it's not out of the question.

Had no Europe that season, like Liverpool last

True but in my opinion we also had a worse overall squad with less depth, you still can't say we have no chance of top 4. Personally I don't care if we miss out again as I agree that the other teams are a bit ahead of us and my support for the club doesn't depend on any conditions being met. I think last summers signings are getting a bit too much stick and have been written off to soon, it seems like casually calling them all flops is par for the course in the media, with other fans and some of our own fans too.

If they improve this season we could expect to finish on a higher points total and if we're anywhere near 80 at the end of the season then we'll be right in the mix. It's way too early to call it one way or the other with any degree of certainty.

Which could well be achieved since our points haul against the other teams in the top 6 can only be better next season...!

Definitely, I forgot about that. Even if we just beat Liverpool and the Goons at home we could be on about 78 or 79. Not to mention we need to take back our 6 points from West Ham!

This might have been posted already, but god damn Suarez is a gifted bastard.

I still dream about signing him years back.

Agree 100% but likewise hope I am wrong, you only have to look at the title odds to see how much we need to improve from last season and all those who finished above us ( bar Everton) look to be improving with their signings

Title odds - PP
Man City 15/8
Chelsea 15/8
Man Utd 11/2
Arsenal 15/2
Liverpool 9/1
Tottenham 50/1
We are normally 66/1, this is pretty low tbh

The thought of what he and Bale could have done as a duo makes me so angry towards Harry.
He wouldnt of lasted as long here imo but this would of been our team the CL season:

Suarez

Bale ------ VDV ----- Lennon

Modric ----- Sandro

Ekotto -- King --- Gallas -- Corluka

Gomes

The Barca president insists he hasn't paid the price the british media are saying and says he will reveal the price at the reveal but insists it wasn't more than £66milion (strange price to quote)

Interesting as to where they will reveal Suarez since he cant be at the stadium

Still alot but I found it hilarious that the Daily Mail said Liverpool lost out on £25million because of the bite, which led to there being no bidding war.

It didnt exactly happen like that for us with Bale when there was talk of a £125mill bid from PSG and United

Suarez always would of gone to Barca over Real Madrid as thats where his wife is from, the issue before was that Barcelona seemed allergic to the idea of playing a striker

Pretty huge deal for them. I think they're still going to sit this one out and think it over.

Quite amazing how many come from defensive errors. I'm not saying that as a bad thing but shows how in your face he is which is enough to create errors for him to pounce on.

He is the whole package. One on one, pestering workrate, in the box, in the air, poacher...

His ability to create by himself is what sets him apart from the falcao's of the world. Makes something out of nothing

No Suarez and champs league plus high expectations it's going to be a lot harder this season. Hopefully we will be a lot better this year.
