The Patriots have traded their 1st and 3rd round picks for Brandin Cooks and the Saints 4th. Third player they have traded for!

Good pickup for them i think.

There were rumours that the Saints had offered Cooks for Malcom Butler and the Pats were considering it if they couldn't get a long term deal worked out with Butler.

Very happy with the Lions FA signings so far. Looks like we've built a very good O Line now. All D in the draft please, and maybe an RB in rounds 2-5 somewhere

Vegas Raiders official I guess.

Didnt think it was possible to unanimously approve something saying its good for business yet still be the only organization staunchly against the business that is the reason the place exists but here we are.

A shame it's come to this but it's time to embrace the new future for the Raiders in Sin City.

Granted it's different for me in the UK than an Oakland native but unfortunately this is just the nature of the beast as shown with the Chargers and the Rams.

Just Vegas Baby!

They're still Oakland's team. Always have been and always will be.

Mind you, when you research the origins of the team and the AFL (which is now the nucleus of the AFC), you'll see that the Raiders were the runts of the AFL litter, so it's somehow appropriate that the team isn't wanted by the city of Oakland (although the people of Oakland and the East Bay as a whole love the team, the city's officials have never shown such enthusiasm, in contrast to their counterparts in Green Bay or Pittsburgh, for example).

I'll just call them 'the Raiders'. I can't bring myself to mention the name of any town other than Oakland in the same breath.

No, the city does want them. It's a combination of the team not wanting the city and the city not willing to pay for them to build a new stadium. And rightfully so.

I think all this moving in the NFL has really been bad for American franchises. Especially after Stephen Ross' comments. Brought the subject of public funding for rich owners stadiums into the limelight and most people do not want to fund a new stadium for the rich. Goodell has inadvertently fucked over American franchise sports owners in a his quest for the quick buck. So I think we should thank him for his stupidity.

When I was young they were the LA Raiders

I didn't even know they had come from Oakland before until they moved "back" to Oakland and a big deal was made about their return, I have no attachment to Oakland and would never go to Oakland etc

Vegas is my Spot so personally I love the fact my favourite NFL team is moving to my favourite city - means I can hopefully go to a game one time when I'm there

Vegas is such a great city. Love it there. Was there for the first time a few weeks back. Just the atmosphere was amazing. Gambling aside, the atmosphere was great. You dont have a care in the world when you're there. Really is a fantastic vacation spot. Of course, the free drinks in the casino were a huge help. I'm hoping to go back this summer again but we'll see about that.

I've been Vegas 8 times as an adult (plus twice as a kid with my parents but it was a waste of time to me at that age plus Vegas has evolved so much since then anyway)

I was married in Vegas back in August

I can't say enough good things about the place, I love it. Not for everyone I can appreciate, but for anyone who just wants to have a good time I think it's perfect

Yeah, Im 25. We recently reconnected with some family friends who moved there so I hitched a trip with my parents. The only time I ever saw them was out at dunner, though(btw, grand lux cafe in the venetian...holy crap that place is incredible!!!! As was table 9 in the Palazzo). I stayed at the Mirage, which is directly across from the Venetian and Palazzo. Decently affordable(especially compared to Caesars, Venetain/Palazzo, Cosmo and the Bellagio, which are all in the vicinity) and would definitely stay there again. Of course, Paris, Ballys and Harrahs(all 3 in that area too) are alot cheaper but I dont ever really want to stay at them. It seemed like a world away from MGM, NYNY, Mandalay Bay, etc so I didnt really that far up the strip but I think next time I might wanna try the MGM.

The draft starts tonight so might as well post my traditional pre-draft video

"...everybody said if Marino was still around they'd take Marino. Obviously the Jets know something that the people up here don't." :ROFLMAO:

Could turn out to be a decent trade, giving up our 2018 5th round pick and acquiring Seattle's 2018 6th round pick as well as Lynch. I don't expect him to play any more than two seasons (it might just be one), and don't expect 1000 yards per season, but he brings savvy and experience as well as what he can contribute on the field. More kudos to Reggie Mac, I'd say. I was expecting Seattle to ask a slightly higher price, if I'm honest, but Seattle's GM (John Schneider) also deserves a bit of praise for not being too greedy.

He'll be invaluable on those 3rd and a couple of yards along with obviously a huge red zone threat and we have the change of pace backs in Washington and Richard.

Just his presence alone will create more man to man coverage for Cooper and Crabtree to exploit and Cook should prove a good weapon in this offence too.

With a draft that's deep in the secondary (a real weakness of ours) then there's every reason to feel optimistic about the coming season.

I personally think Raiders should go for Kaepernick especially with Carr coming back from a broken leg
