I don't think Munn and Postecoglou have worked together? P was at Brisbane and then a different Melbourne club to Munn. They have probably met before, but not worked together.
There is absolutely no reason why we can't spend at least £100m on a keeper and CB before we sell anyone, regardless of the Porro and Kulu situations. If you're going to make that argument, then my next point would be that we spent nothing in January, spent only £18m on Bentancur the January before that, and spent £100m net on players in the summer despite being in the CL.I am not a Levy apologist, but I don't think it's an excuse - I think we will have a limited budget this summer. And that may be why we see more ambitious managers shy away from the job.
Since we're out of Europe I'm not convinced we need 6 players imo. A goalkeeper, centre back at a minimum, and probably a decent forward to replace the departing Danjuma and Lucas. If we get the goalkeeper and centre back right we're looking like a decent side.Looking at the net spend of clubs in the Prem right now, I can't believe we don't have the means to a reasonable transfer budget.
Our net spend over the last 4 seasons has been around £100m a year. I see no reason why our budget should disappear now.
The problem we have, is that we need around 6 first team squad players. Trying to get players of the quality we want for £20m each is a big ask.
So we'll need to sell, for the squad places as well as the funds.
I think the financial issue is more fundamental. There is absolutely no reason why we can't spend at least £100m on a keeper and CB before we sell anyone, regardless of the Porro and Kulu situations. Whether Kane goes or not, we'll need a keeper and CB. Best way for us to play it is to pump money in for those two regardless, then see who we can sell to generate funds for other positions of need.
Depends on what we're aiming for. A goalkeeper, left back, at least one centre back and with Bentancur injured at least one midfielder. Then either a playmaker or forward depending on what formation we're going with.Since we're out of Europe I'm not convinced we need 6 players imo. The budget should be big. Arsenal were out of Europe and spent a huge amount so we have no excuse. We've spent under our means for years and we now have a full stadium and all the events we're told make a lot of money.
We are constrained by the squad numbers at the moment. I agree in an ideal world that we'd bring in a midfield player. But considering that we're not in Europe, I think that'd mean we'd want to move on the likes of PEH first. We don't need 5 CMs anymore. It really depends on who we can get rid of.Depends on what we're aiming for. A goalkeeper, left back, at least one centre back and with Bentancur injured at least one midfielder. Big should be get the manager the players he actually wants, be it 20m or 50m. Enough of the cost cutting Levy’s 2nd/3rd choice or no manager will ever win anything with us.Why should it be "big"? And, how are you defining "big"?

It's possible imo that Ange will be a fan of Bryan Gil, so perhaps he could provide that forward depth allowing us to focus on a midfielder, or another defender.
Really don't see a way we can bring in more than a keeper and CB without letting 3-4 minimum go.
I think we desperately need more creativity in midfield as well....especially to play the way AP plays.. I really want Maddison. For me a new GK, new CB and new CAM are must gets regardless of sales. There is absolutely no reason why we can't spend at least £100m on a keeper and CB before we sell anyone, regardless of the Porro and Kulu situations. Same for me. It been over for Levy for a while, clear as day he won’t ever get things done. If he can’t manage it with a generational player like Kane he never will.Has managed to knock my enthusiasm for the club, which is probably the first time its happened in a long time of supporting the club. Starting to feel helpless with him in charge of the football side.
Could possibly get away with less first teamers now with proper GK LCB & AM and add proper back ups to Bentancur, Son, Kulusevski & AM.Looking at the net spend of clubs in the Prem right now, I can't believe we don't have the means to a reasonable transfer budget.

£35m Raya, £40m Laporte, £50m Maddion - £125m.
That might be asking too much. Fair enough, but if we are not willing to invest big we will struggle....we are so far behind the likes of City and Goons right now. Chavs, United and Newcastle will spend big to get what they need. Liverpool will be back.
We have already lost ground - if we don't spend big in summer we will end up in a chicken race with Brighton, Brentford, Villa and West Ham for the conference league spot. The league is so so competitive now.

There alot of players to shift which will be a big problem as Levy will not just clear for sake of clearing.

Indeed. A player is an asset and therefore cannot be undervalued.Lloris and Perisic will likely be free transfers.
I’d shocked if any club is willing to pay Ndombele’s salary, let alone get a transfer fee.
We’re going to have trouble selling and it’s not just on Levy asking too much.
