Wenger says Vermaelen's going to be out for two weeks and that they'll be looking to make a loan signing.

Didn't know he got injured....I would make Fulham favourites now, that's a huge miss for them.

Jol is on crack if he doesn't play Zamora in that game, he'll bully them senseless.

Can't wait untill we play Everton. Getting bored of being a game behind everyone else. Not a true reflection of our brilliance, and we're still 5 points ahead of Pool and Chelsea, and 3 ahead of Arsenal.

Jol's on fucking crack anyway. Falling out with possibly his best player. What's all that about?

When Jol was our manager he refused to allow Sean Davis to leave to be with his girlfriend at the hospital after there had been complications with the birth.

Davis left anyway without Jol's permission and Jol never played him again, nor even spoke to him.

Guess its the big man's managerial style

If that's the whole story, that's pretty fucking heartless.

Zamora never forgave Jol for not playing him at Spurs iirc. Jol has never rated him.

Dempsey is Fulhams most influential player by far.

zamora was a beast away to arsenal, then jol took him off and suddenly fulham were pinned back inside their own area.

That's what Davis's sister in law told me

Fair enough she will only have his account of the story (and Jol would surely have a reason to justify if you asked him about it?) but there was certainly complications with the birth of their child and an issue between Jol and Davis in regards to his missing training/match day

For the sake of balance I should state also while playing for Pompey Davis fell out with Redknapp and was dropped for the cup final, Davis then wanted to go on holiday instead of watching the final and Redknapp forced him to be at Wembley and watch.

So to be fair there are other examples of Davis falling out with management

Brunt hobbled off at the end of the Everton game, would be good if he was out of the game on Tuesday.

This next round of fixtures could be very important in the context of the next couple of months.

If, as hoped, Arsenal drop points at Fulham, and we win on Tuesday (which we should even though WBA always seem to give us a tough game - its as if they all have a bonus in their contracts for taking points off Spurs specifically), then we will be looking at a 5 point gap over everyone below us, even if Liverpool and Chelsea win their games (unlikely in Liverpool's case as they go to Eastlands). 3 points from the game in hand v Everton and thats an 8 point cushion going into that run of fixtures against our rivals which fans of Arse, Lpool, et al have been looking towards for weeks as their opportunity to catch us.

As others have said previously, it will be huge for us if, coming off the back of those games at City, Liverpool, Arse and at home to Manure, we were still in 3rd with the run in we have.

Still a long way to go, but if we have an 8 point cushion going into the game at Eastlands then it would require some tremendous consistency from the teams chasing us to overhaul us.

Any proper evidence or is this just a rumour?

Chelsea and Arsenal are capable of that even though people keep writing them off.

Arsenal are, Chelsea of the past maybe, but with the manager who has a worse record than Scolari in charge? Not sure, he's going to get punished for trying to change too many things too quickly.
