Not disappointed at all. I trust in the Scousers to drop points at home to the lesser teams.

Spurs, Arse, Liverpool and Chelsea all on 22 points! With 2 games in hand, that is a good position to be in.

Yep. Could do with a big win tomorrow, 3 points clear and an an improvement to our GD would be excellent

It's a pretty hollow victory for Liverpool though, they only had something like 42% of possession. That'll be what their fans are talking about on the way home.

They're flat-track bullies. They will have a great record against the teams otside the race for the top 4 but they lack the pace, and it seems, the tactical nous to beat the other top sides.

I just hope AVB is still in charge come December 22nd .

Come on tomorrow night boys - please don't choke

Whilst a draw would have been a good result, I'm not fussed on the teams around us, as long as we do our job, which we are more than capable of doing then everything will fall into place.

None of the Gypsies, the scousers and the Russians look any good really.

Pool are quite tidy and resolute, chelsea are quite simply one-paced and lacking in ideas, arsenal are a one man band. We are better than any of them so really don't care what they do.

My one concern, outside of our results, is that Roman might go out in January and spend 100 million to keep them in the top 4.

As far as I can see, pool, the scum and chelsea will be battling it out for 4th with us comfortably sitting in 3rd.

Roll on tomorrow!

There's too much optimism on here tonight. In order to balance things out and keep the footballing Gods happy I've changed my prediction for tomorrow's game to a 1-1 draw now.

Hopefully I'll be wrong.

Should we really be worried if they want to go batshit in the transfer window? They did it last January and they haven't exactly come up smelling of roses, have they?

I think they'll be talking about a great win at a place few do. Personally I'd take a 1-0 at the Bridge with 1% of possession and laugh myself silly at how inept they were at creating / taking chances themselves.

Unless Van Persie gets crocked, though, I still see the Gooners as our main rivals for 3rd or 4th with Chelsea. And I still expect fifth. Sorry and all that.

Such a strange position position to be in - no must-win games so far, but each week it feels important to win, to keep the pressure on, or accelerate away. I guess it's the simple rule that the higher you aim, the more games you have to win.

Next week will be interesting - at least 2 of the top 7 guaranteed to drop points. I guess the key question is this: how will Spurs cope with playing at 3pm on a Saturday?

Some Liverpool fans will probably go away now thinking that they should be challenging for the title. It was the same when they beat Utd at Anfield last season, for instance.

But the more sensible Liverpool fans will be saying they beat a team who are not the force they were and that there is plenty of room for improvement if they want to finish in the top 4. Like beating the PL new boys at home because you don't get extra points for beating the big sides.
