We've gained ourselves a little advantage and as such can afford the luxury of just concerning ourselves with how we perform. We aren't hoping that others drop points to move ahead of them, in the race for a champions league place - we are ahead of them with a game in hand.

Norwich away was a really good performance, especially as others had dropped points already and a little pressure was on to maximise the advantage. Let's just win again and if others drop points, all the better.

Agreed, it feels the pressure is off a little this weekend which should hopefully see us fill our boots against Swansea

All arms tend to be connected to the body - at the shoulder:wink:

Velcro down the sides?
Could construct the garment in two pieces and winch a seamstress up

I was thinking just cut the sides except the top of the shoulders and tie the side together later like a cooking apron

But who is willing to get arrested climbing the podium?

I nominate Staring Price after playing with my emotions every week, making me believe we are in a title race and have a chance of winning it, DAMN YOU :bang:

Last season the big criticism of us was that we dropped so many points against the lesser teams. I don't know if this has been said, but this season we haven't dropped a single point against teams outside the current top 8. 10 games, 10 wins. Not even United or City can claim a record like that. I think it is fair to say that someone singled this out as an area that needed improving, and the players and coaching staff have done a fantastic job in rectifying that.

We're going to go and lose to Swansea now aren't we.

I think we are all aware of it, without necessarily stating it.
I so much wanted us to get scott Parker in because I think he will give us the nous and drive to get past these teams...but the rest of the team are more experienced, as well, in this regard.

The players will be well aware of how dropping points against the likes of West Brom, Wigan, West Ham and Blackpool at home cost us a Champions League place last season, and whether the improvement is more down to the coaching staff or them themselves, either way it's been very impressive.

I don't think the players minds will be occupied with a picture as big as that - the coaching staff maybe, but not the players. The key difference in the players in most such games this year is that there is a basic confidence that if they keep doing what they are doing we will eventually create opportunities and score goals. There's no need to panic. We've seen that most obviously at Wolves, Norwich, Blackburn, West Brom, and Stoke. Even when we're playing like drains (Fulham), the fact that we still come away with the victory thanks to sheer bloody-mindedness and enough moments of class just helps build that confidence. As they play together more and more in the Norwich system they will also develop new ways to break down the opposition.

How would we do that? How do you put a T shirt on statue that has its arms connected to its body?

I'm not sure to be honest, but I do know that some Newcastle fans got a shirt on the Angel of the North and the arms on that are pretty sizeable. My guess is you'd have to stitch it round the sides or tape two shirts on front and back.

All academic, if we don't have a helicopter.

By my calculations we need:

A crane with false number plates
Two Spurs shirts
A roll of white duct tape

The strike team will need balaclava's to hide their identity from the surveillance cameras and to be in and out quickly.

I'll be Hannibal, I like cigars.

Either that or we put the shirt on Eros in Piccadilly Circus instead. I'll still be Hannibal.

I still look at the table and think - one more win and we'll break the magic 40 point mark, we're safe from relegation!

I guess that comes from enduring the nineties as a Spurs fan.

To think we could hit that 40 point mark in less than half a season. Look how far have we come :)

We could rig up a zip-line from the top of Nelsons Column to the top of Canada House once the mission is complete.

For a quick getaway and all that.

(can I be Murdoch? I've always wanted to pilot a heli)

Wouldn't it be easier to climb the the column just by tying a rope to the top of the podium

If not we can get a Giant seesaw and put a person on one end and get a math whizz to work out how much weight is needed to get a person safely to the top

Then we drop the weight on to the see saw

Alternatively we can get a giant trampoline

Couldn't we just cut the column down, put the t-shirt on it, and then wwedge it back up
