We have to go on one hell of a run now, show some bottle and for christs sake we need some luck from the refs, we've been royally screwed out of 10 odd points this season due to blatant ref screw ups... We can still do it, it's going to be hard, but this is spurs. We were never going to make it easy for ourselves!

If we finish within 5 points of the title winners, I'm going to look back at the Man City, Stoke, Wolves and Chelsea games with an extreme sense of bitterness... It'll be the year we was robbed of the title because of refs...

Jones out for a few weeks for United, Nani went off injured too. Didn't seem to be much quality on show in the man u arsenal game tbh from either side

Injuries will start to be key as the season goes on. I would like us to look at bringing in an all round striker if we decide to let Pav go. I think we need to find a ready replacement for Ade if he starts to miss a few games.

We can still run the two Manchester clubs close.

never believed we wud win title but what a dream that would be. but in all seriousness i knew the lack of a real top striker would and will be our undoing in terms of winning league this season. somehow harry and club have to do something with regards getting a world class ,top, make a difference striker thru doors and on top of that dont do what we did years ago and buy lineker sell waddle type scenario. we are close to challengening at long so last lets not fuck up.

before city match , before start of season i would have snapped anyones hands off for finishing in top 4 alone. finishing third and automatic in cl wud be amazing but thats far from done in my eyes.

chelsea are pure cack but even now i still have nagging feeling we will do our utmost to erode away good lead we have on them. they have 2 matches coming up away to swans and home to united so we should really drive home our advantage.. im actually hoping liverpool united cup match ends in draw so we can actually have a couple of back to back home matches which will hopefully heap more pressure on chelsea.

wouldnt it be great to go into last half dozen games knowing cl qualification games guareented and b automatic place assured too.

Still think we could do it. Just had a look at some of the fixtures that will fall for United and City if they are to progress in Europa League and take it seriously. Could be some dropped points there. Also think yesterdays result could be what we needed to really make the players one, believe that they can do it, and two, want to prove to everyone that they can. Think it could be like our FA Cup semi defeat to Portsmouth a couple of years ago.

Winning the league is not going to happen this year but it is all about slow, steady and sustainable progression. The players we have and will have coming back from loans are proving to be good enough to challenge. I think we can get better year on year.

One of the positives after yesterday's loss is that peopla are writing us off as title contenders. It's a mistake, I think. It should lower pressure on our players, for a while focus will be solely on Mancherster duo. I actually like difficult fixtures in next couple of weeks, and I have a feeling that we'll do good in them.

I think yesterday proved that we truly can beat anybody in this league. Let's not forget they have a 100% record at home so it's not like we have done any worse than our opponents there.

United "should" have an additional 2 points (Newcastle game) and we should have at least 5 by my reckoning (Stoke, Chelsea, Wolves) which would have made the table a lot more exciting. But it doesn't work out that way so all we can do is get on with it.

I think our players realise that and now have some big games where they can prove that.

Never really thought we were in the title race to be honest... Its Man City's to lose. The important thing is that despite losing a point to chelsea we're
not really in a worse position in our hunt for top four than we were at the start of the weekend...

I think this thread should be temporarily closed as we are dreaming if we keep talking about it at this stage. Its possible, sure, and if we were only chasing one club I would dare to dream but two of them? We need to get back to winning ways first ans see what happens....

We still have an outside chance so lets keep believing.

If we beat United at home I can see us finishing second.

My confidence has gone up as well for our tough away games coming up.

Where is the fun in that. Lets keep hoping we can win it until it is mathematically impossible to do so. Surely supporting a football team is all about hope.

I say we are still in a title race.

Regardless of where we finish this year, this current team was/is good enough to win the title. Absolute no doubt in my mind that's true and that’s something to be truly proud of.

I still hope we can but even getting 2nd would be a great achievement… Then next year, if we keep our players and manager, then the race for first 2.0 is so on it hurts.

Proud.

Yesterday showed me two things, firstly, we have bottle and will not roll over and give up. Secondly, going away to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, we should not be going there and settling for a point. None of those three teams, playing the way they are at present, are going to offer the same dangers that Citeh offered.

The game yesterday can either serve to demoralise or lift us - I hope the lads feel the same as I do, that even though the result was horrible, the guts and determination they showed prove they can match anyone. With a little more luck and concentration at key moments, yesterday would have been different.

The run in that we have means that we are still in with a shout. We need a few slips from Citeh and Utd, but they have both shown they are capable of coming unstuck. Next 6ish games will show what we can do, if we are within 5-6 points come March, I think we can do it.
