I think there is going to be a huge game of musical chairs this summer right across Europe, just hope we are not the ones left standing when the music stops

The problem with this is that it’s almost always the ones with the lower financial resources who are left without a chair.

Out of the top clubs that’s always us.

It also means we wait all summer only to miss out and sign no one/panic buy.

Unless we’re willing to pay the money to compete at the big boys table, it’s poor strategy IMO.

We don’t have the riches of City or Chelsea or United.

If we are going to spend the money on Zaha at the fee that Palace wants, then I’d rather spend it on position/s that we are more in need of fixing.

The money would be better spent on players like NDombele or Brooks or AWB and/or Grealish and we might have some change to supplement the fees for other players

Dybala and Sane...wtf is going on here??? Quit smoking weed I recommend. Let's just get back to reality and discuss about Brooks, Grealish, Brandt and Wan Bissaka like we've done the last 50 pages.

Sané is in top 2-3 players in the league IMO.

Spunk everything on him.
Not even a top 5 attacking player on City...

Silva, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero all better. Theres a reason he's had issues with now two managers. He's a big time highlight player who lacks consistency.

Dybala captained June against Ajax. Why do people think he’s leaving one of Europe’s most successful clubs these past few years ?

The funny thing is that in the current climate all of those British players are going to be wildly overpriced. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wan Bissaka and Brooks go for 50-60 million which is crazy considering they have only had one good season.

RWF, 10 and 9 when Kane is out.
You sold on Dybala? I am not and would question his suitability to the PL. I don't rate Serie A at all and wonder if there are better (actually I know there are better for us) fits for us. for instance, I would take Bernardeschi over him every day of the week, more workrate, more physical, less selfish, more contribution to the overall team play.

Dybala is a ManU/Ed Woodward type of signing it seems, a mugs signing, with big transfer and high wages and then your left wondering what the fuss was about. He seems another player that would offer nothing other than goals but we need more than that from our expenditures. Plus, as a rule I am against looking at players taking a 'step down' in profile. Prefer players hungry on the way up.

You know, you've accidentally (I think) actually hit on what should be a strategic-level conversation at the club over the next year or two, in that do we keep pursuing the strategy that has got us this far, which has been excellent, but we know we just haven't been able to take the final step, or do we not only accept our status as a big club that players should want to come to, but actually own it, feel comfortable in it, and start acting like that club. That's the only way we're going to take that final step into being winners.

Man, to be in a fly on the wall when transfer discussions are happening this summer. Moving into the stadium for a full season next year, coming off a season where we're, at WORST, Champions League semi-finalists, it will be interesting to see how we approach it.
