City were ruthless and replaced 4 full backs with 4 new ones. We may need to do the same

Still think chilwell and Pereira should be targets
We can forget buying any Leicester City players they pay good money for there players we are in the same sort of market for now. On the real how much will they cost and can we afford that

Yeah DvdB looked very good tonight, possible their best player. Not sure where he’d play for us if, as is reputed, we’re interested.

Reminds me of a more energetic Sigurdsson.

I think van de beek has a bit of van der vaart about him. You'll laugh at me but I'd still prefer Grealish. Under Poch, i reckon there is a hell of a player there..possibly on Eriksen level.

I think the nearest we can expect to get to a 'Leicester player' is Tielemans.

I wouldn't mind that, btw.

Honestly any RB must be an upgrade from what I've just seen
True. It's hard to see Trippier and Aurier remaining with the club next Season. If we get good offers for both, I believe they'll let them go. And it would seem that Poch is leaning in that direction. Hence, why he's been giving Foyth a go at RB. Not 'cos he plans to start him there next season. Rather, he would be cover for whomever we bring in to replace TweedleDee and TweedleDum. And shit, you never know... could be that Foyth develops into a really good RB, in the mold of Corluka. Who was terribly slow, but had great positional sense and could pass the ball.

If we do that, people on here will be going mental because we dallied and didn't sign players in time for Poch's pre season.

And yep, I'm fully aware of how sensible your post is. (y)
Not sure how sensible that is at all. We know he has injuries. We know he has been essentially unavailable for 2 years now. We know that even were he to get back to some level of reliable fitness he is still a player of average technique and dynamism that is now 2 years removed from his best with us. considering all that I don't find any sense in not moving him on at first chance. A call to Brighton sounds like a good idea. Perhaps a swap for Bissouma.

I've said this for a while now but we really do need to freshen things up and get a new style to how we play before we become a run of the mill Premier League club. If we get through to the final great but just secure top 4 & let's be done with it now Spurs. We still have a chance to beat Ajax but with 18 losses in all competitions this season we secure top 4 and regardless we walk away needing to reflect on things & that includes the manager.

Some of Ajax's one touch understanding of where their teammates were before even needing to look was alarmingly beautiful. They knew where they were going to pass it before they'd even received it. How many of our players can say they know the same or do the same with the togetherness of their comrades? They are young but they epitomised everything lacking in our football tonight and I hope it acts as a wake up call to the club from top to bottom.

They ain't great, but their knowledge and ethics get them to the great heights they are facing, fair play to them. For me the only players I see adding anything tangible to the kind of future I want at my club are:

Lloris
Gazzaniga
Rose
Vertonghen
Alderweireld
Sanchez
Foyth
Winks
Sissoko
Eriksen
Dele
Lucas
Son
Kane

14 players. That's my current spine I'm satisfied with, meaning I think the club needs to add the following:

1x 3rd choice GK
1x LB
2x RB
2xDM
1xCM
1xAM
1xWF
1xST

Our squad is 10 players short of what it needs to compliment the other 14-15 at present & you can add a CB to the mix once Alderweireld leaves.

It has to be a 2 year plan where we bring in 5 players this summer & a further 5 next summer. The question is will Levy trust his money and the clubs needs in the hands of Mauricio after he sees how developed a football club can be if done right like Ajax do at grassroots levels?

Poch cannot be watching these games thinking 'Im happy with this squad'. Imagine going into a CL semi final and being forced to play Llorente and Wanyama. Yeh we've had horrible luck with injuries but the squad players have to at least offer something. We need 5 new players minimum this summer, 7 if Toby and Eriksen leave. Can't see who would be mental enough to want any of ours though. Perhaps Trippier and Dier might attract some interest but the rest of them are falling apart at the seams.

I'd probably add Davies to that list but otherwise this post is spot on. It's more than just the quality of the players (although clearly we need more quality), our whole style of play and identity seems to have disappeared over the last year or so.
