Just finished watching the game v Leverkusen. Obviously became a lot easier after the sending off and we played some nice stuff second half and should have scored a few more. They were a very tenacious and physical side who could also play a bit and effectively bullied us out of it in the first game, and generally speaking I thought we competed a little better last night in another quite frenetic game where no quarter was given, but it's hard to evaluate properly with a man advantage for a huge chunk.

Can someone tell me what Duncan's natural position is, I've not seen much of him before. He seemed to be playing ACM last night ? With TAB as cm with Skipp in a 4231??

Not really sure why we played Eyoma at rb intead if playing Brown at lb with KWP rb from the start, development reasons I guess?? But I think it would have added a dimension to our game that was a little lacking.

I thought Shashoua had a decent game, and Harrison's work rate was very good, did a lot off pressing and working off the ball for the team and always seems to grab a goal, a good habit. Skipp and TOB were quietly efficient as was Tanganga at the back for the most part. Bennetts had a couple of nice moments, but disappointed with the end product though, going for goal from a tight angle instead of looking for the pass.

duncan's a paulinho type cm, likes to go box-to-box rather than being massively involved in general play but he's not cute enough to be a typical #10. i thought we played 4141 that game, skipp was playing very deep with tob/duncan ahead of him and shashoua/bennetts wide.

Thoroughly enjoyed last nights game. Really competitive and great to win it in the last minute. Well done to England, although that young Italian team were good as well.

Thanks, that would make more sense of what I saw thinking about it, I struggled to figure out exactly what we were playing, especially as after the sending off we had the numerical advantage and were playing further up the pitch.

We have been by far the best team. Hit the post 3 times and unlucky to concede lot of good performances. Neil Dewnship is here no doubting scouting for his next squad.

Also I believe Shashoua has signed a pro contract.

That says to me that his positioning has been good, it's just that he's been a bit unlucky with where the ball has gone
It wasn't a case of good positioning.

For the second goal he was under no pressure about five yards out, a low cross came in and he managed shank it past Whiteman. He's a poor player.

It was a good performance despite the score, particularly in the first half, Duncan and Shashoua were lively once again.

yeah, you'd imagine he'd want to play for his country of birth, the country he plays in and has lived his whole life. Not his father's. To late now!
Why would you imagine that?

There are many factors to consider before a player will make such a choice - it's never going to be as simple as imaginging someone will automatically want to play for the country they were born in lived in and played in

Never heard of him!

Anyone know anything about him??

I came on to ask the same thing, where has this guy come from?

He's actually someone I really like, who flattered to deceive last year.

I didn't get round to doing my run down of how each player got on against Reading, but first half he was our best player and has generally been one of our best players this season.

First time I really noticed him was when he went to Malaysia as an u16 with the u18s. He fitted in well, and had a flash of skill.

As a first year, he was like a better Stylianides in terms of dribbling and running a game, but his decision making and final ball really let him down, which understandably is what people are judged on.

This season his confidence is up and he is gliding past players and his final ball is improving and he is starting to control games. He has become more consistent and affecting games. He looks like someone who could be really good, but at the same time I almost feel he is missing something. Hopefully he rides this wave at the moment and starts developing that special something.

The call up, as a few on twitter have suggested, was probably a bit of a reward for his recent efforts and help maintain or boost his confidence further

tl;dr check @edson 's post
