nice interview with josh

"I just hope the fans carry on being patient with me until I can show them what I can do."

good luck with that.

Onomah largely played in central areas in Spurs’ youth teams and has had to adapt his game after generally being deployed in wide areas for the senior side, but he is happy to gain experience in different roles.

“I trust in the manager,” he said. “Wherever he wants to play me, if that means I play for the first team then I’m happy to do a job there.

“The central areas, like Harry [Winks] and Dele [Alli] - those were my favourite positions growing up.

who knew.

Our u14s (I believe) played in the Trofeo Caroli Hotels tournament and lost in the quarter finals to Parma. Tobi Oluwayemi was Goalkeeper of the tournamnet, the 6th won he has picked up.
1. Oluwayemi
2. Franklin
3. Hackett-Walton
4. Lusala
5. Watt
6. Kyezu
7. Sizila
8. Barclay
9. Christian
10. John
11. Mundle
12. Obembe
13. Lo'Tutula
14. Craig
15. Bragg
16. Craig

New group of players and new names. More family members in the academy. We have Goalkeeping brothers and it looks like the Craig's might be twins we'll probably see these guys play in Riga later this season. Very brief clip of a game here.

Bentaleb has just scored the second goal for Schalke v Werder Bremen. He has scored 5 goals for them this season having scored only 1 for us in 3 seasons.

Veljkovic has made a rare start for Werder.

he was played too deep here with too much defensive responsibility, never really got the chance to play with someone like dier/wanyama doing the shielding thus freeing him up to get forward more.

It always used to annoy me when he was wrongly criticised for playing sideways passes. One day he might come back to the another English club for more money like De Bruyne.

Keeper Lo'Tutula's had a bit of a mare there.

Still hoping there's some clever clauses in the Bentaleb deal, otherwise it feels proper throwaway.

Pretty sure we have a £17m (not 100%) purchase clause on the loan, not sure about other add ons - i don't see that as bad business at this stage for a player who's interest in coming back is zero.

Plus to genuinely make me feel hard done by, i'd need to see him push on another couple of levels as a player, there's no guarantee of that.

So I finished watching the 3 Victory Shield games, and got a better look at Binks than I've had previously. He played well in the matches. Quite a bit to improve upon I think in terms of his positioning on occasions and sticking to a man, he also seems quite immature but he looks like he can read the game well and has good anticipation. He made a few interceptions stepping out.

As I've noticed before he does like a long ball, and maybe tried them excessively but like Toby he can help initiate attacks. Furthermore his general passing under pressure was good and he managed to break the midfield lines on a lot of occasions and he liked to carry the ball out from the back. The commentators even made note of it in the last game against RoI.

I look forward to seeing how he develops. And between him and Walcott we currently have 2 international CBs coming through which is good.

Scotland look to have a few good players, and you can see why clubs are after Billy Gilmour

He'll be capped through a substitution you'd expect. Although given he's made a few starts for us who knows what jurgen will do
He'll come in late vs Mexico although i'd LOVE to see him start next to Brooks. That's gonna be the US partnership in Moscow, IMO.

Only Winks in the bench.

Anyone know anything about John Swift? Surprised Abraham not starting .

Like what? Talented player, one of the many to come from Chelsea. Not as big a name as some, but very good player

Just finished watching the game v Leverkusen. Obviously became a lot easier after the sending off and we played some nice stuff second half and should have scored a few more. They were a very tenacious and physical side who could also play a bit and effectively bullied us out of it in the first game, and generally speaking I thought we competed a little better last night in another quite frenetic game where no quarter was given, but it's hard to evaluate properly with a man advantage for a huge chunk.

Can someone tell me what Duncan's natural position is, I've not seen much of him before. He seemed to be playing ACM last night ? With TAB as cm with Skipp in a 4231??

Not really sure why we played Eyoma at rb intead if playing Brown at lb with KWP rb from the start, development reasons I guess?? But I think it would have added a dimension to our game that was a little lacking.

I thought Shashoua had a decent game, and Harrison's work rate was very good, did a lot off pressing and working off the ball for the team and always seems to grab a goal, a good habit. Skipp and TOB were quietly efficient as was Tanganga at the back for the most part. Bennetts had a couple of nice moments, but disappointed with the end product though, going for goal from a tight angle instead of looking for the pass.
