Massively disappointed in us (and every other club involved, from the PL clubs involved, to the stupid portion of Football League clubs who voted this format to remain: turkeys voting for Christmas) for being a part of this heap of shite.

Fuck us, and fuck every other person in favour of this.

:(

And the ship they sailed in on ?

If we've entered then I hope we take it seriously. If their situations haven't changed at the start of the season, and first team minutes are scarce, I'd like to see CCV and Onomah in the team - Poch will probably disagree and think its not the level required but a) they still haven't much experience and minutes at senior level and b) gives them an opportunity/experience/test of being the leaders of the team and expectation upon them to perform.

Something like:

McGee/Whiteman
KWP CCV Tanganga(?)Tsaroulla
Amos Onomah
Harrison Edwards Shashoua
Sterling
And obviously there are others in with a shout too who could be rotated in, but we still could put out a decent looking team whoever is selected.

I'd have Edwards and Harrison swapped round, but I like the look of that team, a lot.

Wayne Burnett's experience of lower league football should help us a lot against these senior sides

Let's be honest here, if people thiknk he's the next Messi then yes they should lower their expectations.
He's certainly the most talented in his age group for England, but it could be claimed that there are others that are more effective and ready than him at this age. Mount is one of those, while Sessegnon has proven himself at senior level.
Hopefully Edwards is fit and in form for this tournament, it's that which has held him back the last year or so - not attitude or lack of ability

depends how you define more effective/ready i guess. he did score england's only goals at the u17 euros, got 4 in 5 for the u18s and has 2 in 3 for the u19s so clearly he's effective in the areas he's in the team for but the others all offer more physicality and stronger defensive contribution. not meaning to play down sterling/mount/sessegnon here as clearly they're all good players too(not sure how buckley-ricketts is seemingly ahead of marcus though) but in other countries like spain for example then marcus would be the one being prioritised.

Meh I think you're right that's annoying .have to wait for Dutch game.Anyone know much about Paris maghoma, remember seeing some clips while back and being very impressed.I think he's another dembele clone ,Levy been working overtime on that program haha.

Maghoma is a good player. Another ball carrier, can play 10 or CM. He has good feet, and strength. He likes to try and creeate play and looks graceful. Plays more like Onomah than TOB I think. He also the ability to take freekicks.

Not easy to find full games of them all especially against opposition of a similar level but I have found full games of Onomah, TOB and Maghoma as u16s. Where styles can be compared. TOB was most involved in his game, and Onomah and Maghoma less so.

I could find a game where Onomah is more involved and running around trying to do everything, of which there a few, but the opposition are weaker so might not be a fair comparison.

Onomah aged 15 against Barcelona u17s (he didn't have a great game, but 3 months earlier he had played against their u19s away from home and started as we beat them 1-4)

Oakley-Boothe aged 15 against Netherlands u16s (good game)

Maghoma aged 15 against Mexcio u16s (no.10)

And while we're on that style of player, all 3 of them are regular internationals for their age group in CM, I'll add one more.though he is a school year group below the 3 above at the same time, but his birthday fell before this tournament so he was 15.

Noni Madueke aged 15 (no 16, gets 2 goals and misses a pen for his hattrick)

Someone with the editing skills can make their specific highlights if they have time for easier comparison.

They all generally play CM. At that age Onomah and Maghoma probably play(ed) CAM almost as much. Madeuke and TOB can play a bit on the wing, and Madeuke can play 10, but I don't recall ever seeing TOB play their.

In a few years time I'm sure we'll be able to add Forson to this list.

IG you seem very knowledgeable, not sure if you can answeer these questions .But just wonder where we sit in EPL terms in .

1.How much we spend on the academy in relation to others .Presume we are in top 5 but what position?

2.How would you rate our pulling power.Obviously every kid is an individual case dictated by family mattes. But would you say we can compete with city Chelsea in a straight fight for a kid?

RE: Parker

Is he a new U18 head coach? Or just a coaching staff?

not sure, the wording on the announcement is a bit ambiguous. maybe he'll work alongside mcdermott for a bit and then take the head coach role at some point in the future.

What's the general feeling on Ccv doesn't seem to be that much spoken about him.Do we think he could step up this year and get significant mins ?

Isn't the lack of noise because he has been out injured since February/March?

Been announced that Exeter's wunderkind Ethan Ampadu has signed for Chelski. Well that's the last we'll see of him then. Exeter & the lad will make a few bob but he'll not see the light of day until he's 22 and fallen out of love with the game.

Sounds like Walkes had a good game this weekend. Maybe he'll be another Jake Livermore; really unispiring at Academy level but always does 'just enough' to be retained, only to burst through and make it as a PL regular, and a reasonable one at that.
