KWP scored against Leyton Orient in friendly. :)

Really hope he gets some chances next season even if we do sign another right-back.

For me he has to be given a run-out in league cup games at the very least.

Although the U20 World Cup was obviously good for him was a shame he couldn't have played in our last game of season when Trippier was out and Walker was allegedly out lol - would have been an ideal experience for him.

edit: and bonus teammates with jay dasilva:
Marcus Edwards
He's the little magic man! He's my room-mate here and a cool guy to have around. He's fine to share with – me, him and Easah have been in this group the longest and I've known him for a while, we get along well. He loves his music and movies. He loves Greek mythology, like 300 – those sort of movies, he's really into that.

That's a very good piece isn't it. Nicely sums up the current juxtaposition conundrum. You have very talented kids who will only actually develop further with exposure to proper football, but they don't get that exposure so people keep saying "they're not ready".

Nobody is saying any of these kids are ready to be guaranteed first team regulars. The thing they are ready for is to take the next phase of their education. So that we find out if they are going to be good enough for us, good enough for us to sell and to have a career elsewhere, or not. Just as we do when we buy players.

Was that Da Silva talking about Edwards or vice versa ?

With Walker Peters there is always that element of risk that you get with youngsters and RB is a position that we only have Trippier in at the moment. It might be an unpopular thing to say in this thread but I still think we should try and sign Pereira as I think he can be a brilliant RB for us. However, if we fail to land him then i'd much rather us prefer KWP to any secondary options.

Even if Pereira does sign, KWP will get more exposure next season with the Checkatrade trophy games and i'd have thought he will feature in the League cup too. I think he will play a bit more regardless what happens with Pereira. He can easily prove himself and overtake one if not both RBs in the pecking order.

So he will get more exposure playing second rate teams?

Last season, clubs in the checkatrade trophy would play their reserves in order to rest them for the league

The only reason I think we joined is because the U21's scheduling is so shit we dont get games for a long period

yeah sorry, that's dasilva talking about marcus.

Either way, little bit concerning, can just imagine Da Silva showing Edwards his payslip and Edwards thinking, I could be getting paid a shit load more to be kicking my heels at Chelsea than I am kicking my heels here, and I would almost certainly get a loan there as well.

You would think Edwards has to start today.Especially against a smaller more technical team in Portugal.Be a massive game for him,Onomah massively enhanced his reputation in U20 final.Edwards could really push himself into serious contention with a big performance today.
