Yesterdays 18s game was a good game for a 1-1 draw and I think we had Jonathan de Bie to thank for that not that we did not deserve the point just that he was very good,it was the first time I have seen him play first impressions are good he kicks the ball very well and his quick throws out from the back are excellent,he is fast cumming off his line and looks a good shot stopper all in all he looks a good one but time will tell on that one.Marsh at CB I do not like but he done well, thought Hinds had a good game and is doing a good job so far this year,Griffiths was not that great and his hold up play was poor on the day.Shashoua was very good and was having a good battle with the Chelsea no 5 most of the game Tsaroulla had a solid game but did give away a pen that the Chelsea player put wide story of the day for Chelsea they missed 4 chances right in front of goal on the day but we could have won it late on with a rare appearance from Sterling who was put clear through one on one with the keeper and just completely ballsed it up.Our goal was a very good goal Dylan Duncan picked the ball up deep in his own half and just run run right through the middle of the pitch with a couple of one two passes on the way he put Shashoua through one on one with the keeper and he walked it round the keeper and finished well.Over the last few weeks have seen Dylan Duncan do some amazing things but one the same note he does some sloppy things as well I just cannot work out if he is good or not because he is very up and down.Got to the game early yesterday so watched a bit of the lads below the u16s must say like the look of Kane Patterson a ball playing defender and the young lad Ralph looks a player when he gets the ball no one on the opposing side want to go out to close him down a good sign of a top player plus he was giving his fullback a telling off for not defending properly so he has a bit about him.Not 100% sure but I think the u16s lost 1-0 but played well and was looking the better side towards the end of the match.

Hey man, you allergic to the ENTER button ;)

yes, i think much of the spurs fanbase have had their pitchforks out for him ever since the whole contract thing and all of what you've said above is based on complete hearsay, no one knows what he did or didn't do and the itks on here just toe the poch line regardless of what the truth really is anyway. there were plenty on here taking pleasure in the bild article a few weeks ago claiming he's a wrong'un and performing poorly so yes, he is shutting the haters up and i hope he carries on doing so.
Agree, huge mistake if he goes

I actually think it started with the 'son of Tim' thing. From what I saw there were quite a lot of fans who thought he didn't deserve the initial chance, and largely because of who gave it to him, and he had very little goodwill to work with amongst those fans from the start.

But anyway, it can't be the same Bentaleb scoring goals, no way... He only passes backwards and sideways, and to the opposition at that.

kwp, walkes and harrison in tomorrow's squad then? maybe whiteman again too actually.

good spot, i think given he only came back from a long injury last week and went off early it's unlikely but you never know.

He actually just played against city a week or so ago, here is IGspur post on him from that game.

Amos - 6 played like someone who hadn't played in a while. It's a shame. as a 2nd year I thought we really had a player who could become a back up DM for us towards the end of the season, but playing out of position last year combined with being injured this year has set him back. Looked OK in parts but struggled to find rhythm

As I say, we played very well and could have drawn by the end. Considering this is the reserve league, the team we put out looked like our reserve reserves so I am very pleased with what I saw. Looking at the ratings they seems quite high but I think ti's fair. Most of the defense played well relatively speaking. And the attackers did well. Sending off and midfield let us down first half, there were a lot of good/very good performances.

Don't know why but I rate him highly, I think Poch does aswell as I remember hearing that Amos wanted to go out on loan but Poch vetoed it and preferred that he stay around and train with the 1st teamers.

I should be delighted that kids are making the bench, but when it's Walkes and Amos I just want to sigh. What has Amos done in the last three years precisely to be so rated? He was a tenacious U16 and since then...cack. I think my feelings on Walkes are fairly well known. Its not even that there are other's I'd rather have there (obviously Edwards is injured and KWP doesn't convince Poch) but it just speaks to the logjam at U23 level and how stagnant its making the development process that we've got two lads making the bench who have been, at best, mediocre at U23 level and in reality quite a bit worse than that. We need to get that sorted ASAP.

I don't agree with that at all Anton for all his shortcomings has done really well at U23 level far better than he did as a youth player - versatile good athlete and perhaps not the best on the ball but his attitude has been admirable.

Luke has been asked to play in a variety of positions and he is done ok and again his attitude has been excellent plus he can play a bit

Good luck to both of them though I thought KWP would have made the bench

Mmm harsh on Amos. He was highly rated but has been victim of talented players in his position, but that was more as a first year. As a 2nd year he was very good and looked a potential first teamer. The following year when I thought he would kick on he played LB and out of position and stagnated. Start of this year he has been injured. I agree though that neither have come close, not many have to KWP, so I really don't know how both have leap-frogged him.

I've seen Walkes twice this year for u23s, maybe one or two more. He has been better than last year, and improved but he still didn't look like one of our best players so I still wouldn't say he has deserved it based on performances/ability. Having a good attitude, being a great athelete, and versatile doesn't make him a good u23 player.

Regardless I am pleased for both of them, that they are having this opportunity. I dreamed that KWP would tear it up today. Please can we just send him on loan in January

I didn't think Amos was up to much in his second year, actually. He was better than his first but he still didn't show me anything that suggested that he was going to make it as a first-teamer. Clearly I am in the minority, with Poch's opinion being the most pronounced in its disagreement.

The point I was trying to make and probably didn't get across was that when you do eventually get some youngsters on the bench it says something that we're picking one player who has underwhelmed for two or three years and not played a lot this season as well as a player who has been awful at times and competent at others. It demonstrates what we all know which is that the U23's is not developing players, not getting players in the sort of form that would justify promotion and not creating a through path for talented U18s. It looks like Poch has just plucked two players from the group rather than have his hand forced by stand-out performers. Stand-out performers Amos and Walkes have not been.

Spurs U16/U15 played yesterday at Cambridge United (main stadium) with over a thousand crowd. The score was 2-2 does anyone know the Spurs team or can provide a report? Much appreciated if you can. Also Spurs Youth players Eyoma (full game). Oakley-Boothe (sub) and Lyons-Foster (on bench) were involved in England's U17 Euro qualifying group game against Azerbaijan(spelling?) with England winning 2-0 in Romania.
