Spurs U16/U15 played yesterday at Cambridge United (main stadium) with over a thousand crowd. The score was 2-2 does anyone know the Spurs team or can provide a report? Much appreciated if you can. Also Spurs Youth players Eyoma (full game). Oakley-Boothe (sub) and Lyons-Foster (on bench) were involved in England's U17 Euro qualifying group game against Azerbaijan(spelling?) with England winning 2-0 in Romania.

The back four got stretched in the Leicester game on Monday but all the boys gave everything they’ve got and I thought they deserved to go again today, then we’ve got the luxury of playing Kyle Walker-Peters, who has got the technical ability to play pretty much anywhere on the pitch, further ahead. At times he glides past defenders, he’s not fazed and he’s a top technician when he puts his mind to it.

Could we look to turn KWP into a RM/RW in the future? I know some have pointed out that his lack of height and physicality as a weakness teams could exploit.

glover 6 - little to do, one save, that was about it

muscatt 5 - poor. not sure where he was for the first goal and offered nothing on the ball
owens 6 - dived in for the goal when he should've stayed on his feet but a decent game otherwise
maghoma 5 - scary on the ball but ok defensively
stylianides 6.5 - good game, composed on the ball, defensively sound

amos 6 - solid but needs to be more positive

kwp 7 - started on fire, faded and then came on strong again 2nd half. breezed past players and looked comfortable in a more attacking role
goddard 7 - always looked to get on the ball and move us forward, shouldn't have been taken off
walkes 5 - offered nothing, why are we playing him further forward again?
georgiou 6.5 - anonymous first 55-60 minutes but came alive in the final half an hour, put in some decent deliveries

harrison 6.5 - well taken goal but missed two other decent chances, some good link-up play at times but was too in and out overall

pritchard 5 - poor set pieces
tracey/bennetts - net

Was KWP a RM/RW for this game?

yeah, also played quite narrow as well, almost a #10 at times. played on the left for 25 mins but was much less effective there.
Good to hear, I saw picture of Poch and the rest of the staff watching the U23 game. I know a lot people in hear rate KWP and I'm starting to hop on that bandwagon. Hope he can convince Poch to bring back into the fold.

What position did Amos play? I see he took over captaincy as well.

Well he started off as a striker/RW and was moved back to RB. so he'd do a full 360

dm in a 4141.

Interesting. Do you think he'd be better off as a RW for us than RB? How fast would you say he is?

i still think rb ultimately but he has the speed/agility and technical ability to play as an attacking player unlike most full backs. i don't know if he has that natural attacking instinct in the final third though, he'll always look to find a teammate rather than go alone or go for goal, I've never really seen him properly strike the ball at goal so not sure how his shooting is. in terms of pace he's probably somewhere between trippier/davies and walker/rose but his speed is much more useful in the final third than either of the latter(who are more straight-line runners). kwp can twist, turn and accelerate past close markers.

What BG said. I like him at RB as it gives him space to run and dribble into. but there aren't many better dribblers in right spaces in the squad than him. he can get out of almost anywhere which means he could probably breakthrough and create chances when defences sit back. as I've mentioned before his grossing off either foot has also improved. but he is probably too unselfish too be an attacker his first instinct is to pass

I have seen ion strike a ball very well and I think one he scored last year was running onto it and smashing past a keeper. he isn't a finisher but will shoot.

What would you say he struggles with? Is he defensively sound?

he's ok defensively but he still needs work. his main problem is he's physically weak, like the full back equivalent of lamela when he first arrived. as mourinho would say he's a little horse that needs milk.

Did this look like the U23's applying the new first team system of 4141/433/41221 ?
