just watching city vs barca uefa youth game and fuck me do city have talent in their team. Sancho, Brahim Diaz and Paolo Fernandez are top draw, proper giving it to barca and have guys like Phil Foden on the bench and Poveda at home.

just refreshing to see a top quality academy game

Outrageous talent in that team. I'm not watching but I assume Sancho playing well. Also if that's the Fernandez that played for their u23s he looked dangerous. Diaz is of course class to. This is considered their golden generation.

I know quite a few youth watches were looking forward to seeing us, City and Chelsea this year, with our best teams in the FA Youth Cup. Assuming we kept Kirby as we'd all be filled with talent but we didn't and we're struggling for form at the moment and have had injuries. Our FAYC team should still be good though

Noticed LUIS BINKS (defender) has been included in the Scotland U16 Victory Shield squad. I have not noticed this player in either recent U16 or U15 Spurs squads. Can anyone enlighten me?

He has been with us for a good few years and I've seen his name mentioned a few times though I don't recall having seen him play.

What happened to Griffiths? He always seems to be a goal threat

He's still learning, he's only relatively recently been converted into a striker. He has all the tools to be a very effective forward, he's big, strong, quick, nimble and powerful but he also looks raw. He over plays, he snatches at chances and his movement can be hit and miss. Whether he turns into a Rashford or a Delfounso we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks and interesting. He's an u15 CB regular. Reminds me of Toby in style and similar hair. Tbh looks like the type of player who would have got a call-up for Eng. So glad he has been recognised

Those names don't sound very English though (I realise Sancho is). They might have a good academy team but it's not really a benefit to English football if it's packed to the rafters with foreign players.

TBF, 4 starters and 1 sub for England U17s in their 8- 1 win very Germany were from City. That is more than from any other team.

I don't know their best u19 side but they could have

Anderson
Duhaney Humphreys Latibeaudiere Wood
Davenport Diallo
IBR TDB Sancho
Nmecha

That's just a team I can make up from what I've seen. I'm sure avid youth watchers for City might have some changes but those are all talented England internationals who can play up-to u19s.

With players like Bolton,
Duncan, Poveda, Foden, Francis and Rosler as backup who have all played for England.

If Pep (and Conte) does things correctly the England first team will have genuine, quality options for the future.

Neither does Bamidele Alli...

lyons-foster, eyoma and oakley-boothe in the latest england u17 squad. meanwhile, kirby's decision to leave us is going great as not only does he have no club but now he's not being picked for england either.

Reckon Kirby has burnt all bridges with us, or could he come back tail between legs if it doesn't work out?

Juan-Pablo Gonzalez-Velasco (the lad we signed from Brentford) took our academy squad up to 25, which I believe is the limit. If that is the case then all the spots are now filled. That doesn't have to be the end it though, there are workarounds. We could take him on a non-contract basis (we wouldn't be able to register him to play any games for us) until he turned 17 at which point we could give him a professional deal. What we can't do is offer him a scholarship.

I wonder how much training he is getting in. If he signs and ends up playing u23s and gets in 1st team will look good but while he doesn't play he won't get chosen for anything.

Hope the latter, but really doubt it
