From what you've seen, do you think Tolijan is that great? I admit I've seen very little (saw him play in one of the tournaments this summer I think) but I wasn't exactly blown away by what I saw. I'm not saying he's not any good, I'm sure he is, just didn't look like the next Lahm or anything? KWP can also play both sides?
Only seen very little myself, but my point was more about bringing in a versatile player that can play RB as oppose to a player that can only play RB. Toljan can use both feet just as well as is just as good and experienced at LB as he is RB, so is not just a case of a RB than can play LB but isn't as good there.

I don't want to see KWP at LB in these early stages of his career at this level, I want him at his favorite position as much as possible.

I know I have said this before but One of the lads at work was at spurs with CCV, Onomah etc he said CCV was rapid, the lad in questions pretty dam quick could run 11.6 at 16-17.
For me is is more his speed at turning and his acceleration that concerns me rather than his top end speed.

I wouldn't doubt that once he gets going he's quick, the issue isn't raw pace it's more his agility and balance that makes him slow, the first 5 yards is always the most important and in that aspect he's lacking. Now speed really isn't that important at CB if you've got good awareness and positioning but from his (first team) appearances he hasn't shown evidence of having either in abundance. The great thing is that he has time on his side, coupled with training with two of the best CB's in the league, he has every opportunity to come good.

His 18/19 at a position which takes time to master, give the lad time and a chance Poch def knows a thing or two about defending.

You can be rapid in a straight line but but slow on the turn or in the change of direction etc. That's where CCV looks vulnerable to me.

Me too, but with two LB's here already, we are kind of covered with KWP being able to fill in there aren't we ? Do we need a player who's OK in two positions but not great in either ?

BBC stating that KWP put in a man of the match display. Has BC expired in an orgasmic haze?

To be honest, he wasn't man of the match, but just put in the type of performance that surprised none of us that have been saying the world wouldn't fall in if he played.

He's been ready for this for a while to be honest. He'll still make mistakes, he's got learning to do, but we tolerate everyone else learning and making mistakes, all we'd ask is that if the rest of the stuff he's doing is pretty good then we give him the same tolerance we gave Walker for years, Alli, Dier, Kane initially etc.

Kwp had a solid game, to really show his worth he needs a run of games, he held back, but defended well I was impressed with his 1 v 1

Seen Cam for a couple of seasons in the youth team. The one reservation I have is that he doesn't have a lightning first five yards That said he is certainly not slow and as a centre back of a very young age he is still learning his trade and developing a better positional awareness will compensate for any shortcomings.

He is very exciting player iimo
