If solanke is £19m then Onomah has to be £12-15m.

Just stumbled upon that Ramelldo kids YouTube. Getting 1m views, he won’t even need to play can retire by 20 lol. Still looks tiny wonder if he will turn out to be any good. Considering our twitter is just 3m followers I’m surprised the club haven’t featured him at all be decent PR.

Solanke is capped at full international level and has played and scored in the premier league. Onomah will be 10m at absolute max.

of course he's tiny, he's like 10.

he's actually in one of the latest jd adverts on tv but the club would never give him any unnecessary exposure.

All the academy boys did themselves proud, Skipp had a very good game barring the odd loss of focus, KWP very comfortable on the right, but a question to you regular youth watchers... how has Marsh looked at youth level? Because he was very positive tonight, quick and tricky and elegant. Looked a talent.

Personally wish we'd bring through some more 'luxury' players. It's fine to play the guys who are safe and will do a job but we have had some really talented players who haven't been given game time in matches like this, or at the very least in their most favoured positions. Makes me worried for some of the brilliant, more forward-thinking players still in the academy: A. Shashoua, Roles, Richards, Maghoma. I'd still love to see Onomah, Edwards and S. Shashoua be given a run out because I think they each bring a bit of flare that we otherwise might lack. This issue seems to be consistent across all of the top teams though, except maybe at United with rashford and Lingard. Young attacking-minded players just aren't given an appropriate opportunity to express themselves at the level.

Good to see skipp's confidence shoot up after he started to succeed at making those forward passes, the assist was lovely and the sort of thing we've been lacking in central midfield.

typically average at best, struggles against anyone vaguely athletic.

i thought skipp did well on the whole too but i've seen quite a few being hyper-critical of him, yeah he wasn't foot perfect and was a little loose on occasion but i thought the good outweighed the bad.

I like Marsh on the ball but his lack of pace is clear to see and I only see him making it in a three man midfield.

Good to see the kids get a chance would’ve been nice to see a more attacking or creative one get a chance too though

Edwards is not even a starter at Excelsior. Showing a few flashes at youth level doesn't mean the player is ready for the EPL. I trust Pochettino on this one.

Rated as what? Honestly can't see him getting a league club when he eventually leaves.

Thank you all, good to know. See, I’d have never seen a defensive player from tonight’s cameo. He looked nimble and probing in the final third.

I'm talking in the past for those guys (my hopes are meaningless really), except maybe Sam Shashoua. It's more just a trend that I'm noticing under poch, not entirely his fault given our first team attacking quality. Players who are more risky by nature, and thus probably more prone to errors early on, because they'll take players on or go for interesting passes, just aren't given opportunities. Our midfield really does lack that sort of player though which is why I'm a tad disappointed he brought marsh rather than someone a bit more interesting like Maghoma or Shashoua. Could have had sterling on the bench in place of Kane; and also could have had roles in there somewhere. These players obviously all can't be in the squad at the same time but it would be nice to see one or two occasionally.

It was good to see eyoma given a crack though, have high hopes for him.

perhaps relevant:

it does seem that the more attacking/exciting players at spurs are being held to a higher standard. roles for example has surely been the academy's standout player so far this season and yet he doesn't seem to be in the picture at all, we've seen that jamie bowden has been with the first team these past few days and not to put him down at all but he very much falls into the same category as all the other midfielders poch seems to be drawn to.
