And we've just committed to giving Harry Kane an extra £5m over the next season, and another extra £5m between Son£60m in profit last season.
Daniel got it wrong this summer. However, and forgive me for speaking for an uninformed position as I don't have access to the information you have so can only base my opinion on what I see happen on the pitch/ in the league, I don't think I can get on board with 'removing Daniel' from anything until we visibly go backwards in those two areas I have access to. Right now, all I can base my support/ lack of support for Daniel Levy on is league tables and quality of football. I don't really care about anything else. These two things have both consistently improved since 2005, with the odd blip. Even if this season is a blip, he's done more than enough good that I'd be willing to give him the chance to make up for it.May I add, after speaking to one of the Liverpuddle ITK, who is family to their hierarchy.
They made a decision to act quick and incisive, before the market got crazy. They knew they would have challenges on their outs. They told those that would be available, with their agents the score. Lots more I cannot print.
In a nutshell. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THE BULLSHIT ABOUT WE HAD TO SHIFT FIRST, HG ‘Meh, meh!’
Daniel Levy COCKED UP! And before anyone starts defending I’m. Privately is known why I state this strongly.
For the record, I vote very strong-NO CONFIDENCE in DANIEL Levy conducting our transfer business. And he SHOULD be removed from this role. Give someone else the budget, and let them deal with it!
STICK TO THE COMMERCIAL BUSINESS OF OUR GREAT CLUB Daniel.
Please nobody start singing roses over his Poch is happy. That is not technically true! There are reasons I have shared privately. And we run a great risk of him walking in 12 months.
I'm not saying this as a blind Levy-ite/ BSoDL member. I'm saying this as someone who is as passionate about this club as you clearly are, and who, based on the only tangible information available to me, has genuine faith that Daniel Levy is still the right person to take us forward from the top. That is a faith he has earned. Back in 2003 when Hoddle had just been sacked and we were left with a side including a knackered Gus Poyet, a crocked Christian Ziege and a bunch of slapdash loanees in Toda, Konchesky and Dalmat, I was one of the loudest shouters for getting rid of Levy, and that was a mere almost 3 years into his tenure. In the 15 years since he has built a great club in the most spectacular fashion, by doing it without throwing money at it, taking the hits where we had to (Berbatov, Modric, Bale, etc) and having faith in a plan which was working.
He has earned the right to, in my opinion, assess whether that plan still works or not, and then implement accordingly.
Once again, I say this fully acceptant that I know a fraction of what you know, so please accept that this is based only on what tangibles I see in front of me at each match I go to/ watch.
