Don't think the whole transfer window needs to change because of our difficulties with getting business done. I agree that we've been working to get deals done and obviously we want to sell at a maximum and buy at a minimum but at some point this policy needs to be considered alongside the difficulties it causes the team at the start of the season. Also we don't seem to bring in these big targets. I guess if we bring in moutinho, Leandro/llorente and another (willian etc) then the policy may be understandable. However if we do less than that then perhaps we need to consider why we waste so much time chasing unattainable players, with our budget.

Why doesn't someone at the club realise this then that if early in the transfer window if the price is too high then move on.

Stop chasing gold at the end of the rainbow or spend the money.

Knowing how much you hate neg reps that was a really stupid post to make Vince.

Maybe I was a wee bit harsh, ok more than a bit but I haven't felt so annoyed at a performance since 2nd half of the Man City game where we conceded 4, today we would have won with Modric in the team without doubt, while he is at home waiting for another 80k to arrive in his bank account we are losing the plot out on the pitch, a bit of hate for the guy is reasonable right now although i concede I was a bit harsh

I hope Modric breaks his leg on his Real debut David Bustt style and gangrene sets in to the point he has to have it amputated

Blame for this clusterfuck lies fairly and squarely with him, if he had played today we would have turned them over

See you in the paralympics in 4 years Luka if there is a god out there
lol, this is the guy who lost his shit and began complaining about "undue negative ratings."

Well you certainly deserve negatives for this one. Prick.

Look we all knew this was going to be a season of transition, we're two games in and the transfer window isn't even closed an fans are lining up like lemmings to jump off a cliff, last weekends result was ok, so the issue is today's result, let's get real and hope that some quality can be introduced this week, the existing players can adapt and enhance their individual and collective performance and pick up wins in the next few games

Poor old avb, fecked over by Levy.

Levy plans Spurs board = chuckle brothers, laurel and hardy, benny hill music, keystone cops.

It's not just the extra 80k though is it? He's (potentially) going to Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world. Yes he's gone about it the wrong way but you can hardly blame him for wanting to leave.

Campbell wanted out and indeed he was going behind our back with his agent but when he was out on that pitch he gave it his all till the final game for us, no strikes no "my head isnt right", Modic should do the same and remember he is employed to give it his all out on the pitch.

I will never forgive Campbell for shitting on us but at least he got on with the job

Funny, Sturridge himself has told people, but it had already got out for the journos, that a deal for Sturridge to Liverpool very early in the window was quite advanced until RDM blocked it. Sturridge told the person he was speaking to he was happy to move for first team football.

Similar with Walcott until Kenny got his arse kicked out the door.

Both of these snippets came from Jamie Carragher.

Like I said, the bestest team in the whole wide world. If this isn't absolute proof of that then I don't know what is.

'Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by West Brom earlier this afternoon and Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen to make a further dent in his transfer coffers before the end of the window.
He said: "The market can be very frenetic in the last couple of days. We are looking to strengthen our squad a bit further so we will try to do the deals we can do."'

The two situations aren't the same. Judas was out of contract and free to walk away. Modric is beholden to Levy and must be seriously concerned about missing out on what would be a dream move for any player. He has let us down off the pitch with his behaviour but to my mind he never let us down on it.

From our showing today and unless DL buys at least at least 1 midfield and 2 up front and must be top top class we will bechasing and huffing and puffing to get into Europa league again come next May. Hope I'm wrong.

i really feel we'll be ok so not getting suicidal yet. From a footballing perspective though it is absolute insanity not to have a settled squad in place before the first game. That's possibly 5 points shit away now because we didn't get ade sorted earlier and we've got a big hole in the middle of the park. Fair enough save a few quid and the club is in a fabulous state business wise but talking about challenging when you're constantly trying to do last minute deals is just bollox. Next weeks game is a must win or we're already adrift. Realistic total was 7pts from these first 3 games, anything less than 4 would be a disaster and avb will be under huge pressure.
The earlier ITK about willian and ld better be on the money, fuck me we need a lift.

This is very disappointing Mr Levy, I mean look at the chavs loads of signings at the very start of the PL season.
