like i said before, it is worrying. look at the only teams we have beaten this season:

Wigan
Derby
Blackpool
Hapoel
Aalborg
Famagusta

Luck schmuck. That is pathetic. Basically we haven't beaten a single Premiership class team yet this season.

Thanks, you've made me feel even more depressed than I already was.

... i swear i heard them on sky say that we have lost 19pts from winning positions this season ...

I heard that aswell. Unbelievable stat - if we'd have held onto our leads we'd be 31 points according to that, and 2nd in the league.

I must admit I'm worrying about our league position.

We have 12 points from 15 games. 0.8 points per game

To get to the 'magic 40', we need 28 points from 23 games. 1.2 points per game.

We are in trouble, no doubt about it.

Our possible saving grace is that I think the teams below us are worse than us, but I think even a top half finish will be a massive achievement this season, going by recent results.

It's all looking pretty gloomy for our club with the ramifications of not finishing Top 6 (bar a minor miracle) to look forward to.

Yep you're right PL. The ramifications of not making Europe will be significant.

Less money, less ability to atttract players, less games to keep all of our "superstars" happy. Looks like we're back to where we started 3.5 years ago.

I liked the write up BC, it's almost as I remember it too. Maybe Brum had another 3 shots max at our goal but the truth of the matter is they somehow converted.

We were magnificent. It should have been 4-3 to us in all fairness.

But sometimes football isn't fair.

One thing I feel certain of though, is that whatever happens in the remaining fixtures, we won't be as bad as the teams below us. We will not get relegated.

I've been worried about rlegation for weeks now, months even, though I thought we'd turned the corner in the last few games. Seems like we had, back into trouble!

I still don't think we'll get relegated but am worried.

relegation teams don't play such awesome attacking footall. West ham at this time looked a beaten shit confidentless team. We look buzzing when we have the ball. For the most part we look fine without it...

We aint to good to go down, no matter how "Awesome" our attacking football, how many league games has that won us?

Until our defence is put right(and quickly) We will not gain enough points, although while there are teams like Derby, Sunderland, Middlesbro, Bolton around, we should be ok.

Too good to go down. How many times have we heard that said about relegated teams. We have to get real here. Forget top 6, forget winning a cup, lets just stay in the division. Look at the league table, that does not lie. We are in trouble, that is trouble with a capital T. If Wigan, or Borough get their act together we could in all seriousness go down. We have been very unlucky with injuries and awful refereeing but that's what happens to teams at the bottom of the table. The team must start performing now, not next week or sometime soon but now. I hope Ramos and Poyet are up to it. I am sure they are, but do not get carried away with the thought that we are too good to down.:cry:

I have been scared about relegation all season, were back to when Pleaty managed us. It just seems that most other teams can improve year upon year, we can't seem to

I also had a leeds supporter text me saying we're in the championship practically it's piss annoying when that happens!

only at spurs..cant believe im reading people still think europes a possiblitly...with the likes of villa, man city, everton, all going well and difficult to beat,to overhaul these teams is almost impossible IMO..this season..

with the way our luck is at the moment staying in this league will do me,hope january and the summer can see us do some decent business and push on next season.

To think about relegation is too early. We need a few back to back wins and we will be set clear of the crap near the bottom. Though i thought that would be the case yesterday, and had been looking at the table thinking we would get 3 points at west ham and 3 points yesterday, putting us right on the arses of west ham and newcastle in mid table.

If we are in the same position in February maybe then i will be scared, though i fear a heart attack would finish me off before then.

To make matters worse for me yesterday my NFL team, New Orleans saints also got mugged by a late touchdown with just 14 seconds to go, to lose 27-23. Incidentally it was a star player giving away possession that lead to the touchdown, much like Berbatov doing that for us!

Don't despair our relegation season was one of the most enjoyable I can remember, in a perverse sort of way. Interestingly, Bolton were down with us then and will probably go down this time as well. Look how well we came back then.

Been worried for weeks and I wont be breathing any easier until we get to that 40 point mark. We're in for a long relegation dog fight! I hope the players now realise this now. The dark dark days have returned, who would have thought it?

I don't want to even think about it. I can't believe how many points we're losing from goals conceeded in the last minute. We need to win a cup, any cup. Please.

Re: Europe through league - there are too many teams outside the top four that are playing consistently well at the moment - Portsmouth, Everton, Man City, Villa and Blackburn to be precise. Even if we were amongst that lot, the competition for fifth place has increased massively, even from last year. I think we've left ourselves with too much to do. To get amongst that lot would require a truly remarkable run.

Re: Relegation - stranger things have definitely happened, and defensively we're relegation material right now, but I think Bolton, Wigan, Derby and Sunderland will act as our safety buffer! Fingers crossed anyway...

It won't happen.

If we'd won yesterday (which but for some kind of ancient voodoo curse we certainly would have) we would be in a totally different league situation and people would be wondering how soon we can get into the top half and start to catch the European places. That would be silly and unrealistic, but no more so than the people claiming we are going to go down.

We may be unlucky, but Wigan, Derby and many others down near the foot of the table are absolutely dire teams playing awful, ineffective football, who can't defend for shit. We play excellent football but can't defend for shit. The excellent football part ensures we are nothing like those teams below and around us.

I looked at the table this morning and getting 10th in front of where West Ham are now will be a walk in the park, even if Spurs are forced to play with the same CBs they are playing now for the rest of the season.
You seriously understimate the strenght of your team and the quality of your new manager.

Yeah i totally agree, in fact i will give you some rep.

I think we can only hope for a midtable finish however the gap between us and Everton in 9th is 12 points, thats double our current amount. However West ham in 10th is just 7 points away.

Have some faith and hope the team repay that faith back!
