Sorry but much like the term "Yid" was used to desensitise the racism, this is us taking back possession of our own fuck up's and the hurt. So I am going to continue using it.

Sorry.

Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself.

Edit: Let's take this discussion after the season. It we bottle the season run in, if will be forbidden to forbid "Spursy".

I somewhat disagree. We adopted the word 'Yid' when other fans used it to insult us afterall.

If we actually don't bottle it this time and win something or finish in the top four and build up that type of consistency then I think the word "spursy" would be better fitting to describe when everyone expects us to fail and we succeed. We can't stop other fans from using it, so lets change the definition.

lets cross that bridge when we come to it.

Alright Confucius, just stop using it yeah.
I'll cut you a deal:
PL title: No more "Spursy"
Top 4: "Spursy" only for really big events. Like Harry Kane transferring to Arsenal and Timothy usurping again and stuff like that.
5th or worse: Anybody trying to forbid "Spursy" must spend one entire season as a dedicated Arsenal supporter.
