I'll cut you a deal:
PL title: No more "Spursy"
Top 4: "Spursy" only for really big events. Like Harry Kane transferring to Arsenal and Timothy usurping again and stuff like that.
5th or worse: Anybody trying to forbid "Spursy" must spend one entire season as a dedicated Arsenal supporter.
fuck thats a harsh contract .

The most Spursy team in the league is Liverpool. Happened shortly after Brenton said they wouldn't do a 'Spurs'.

It's their problem now.

I somewhat disagree. We adopted the word 'Yid' when other fans used it to insult us afterall.

If we actually don't bottle it this time and win something or finish in the top four and build up that type of consistency then I think the word "spursy" would be better fitting to describe when everyone expects us to fail and we succeed.
Words are crucial. We need to disassociate ourselves from the dissapointments of the past and this word seeks to anchor us to them.

Fuck it off. Seriously.

The effort, growth and development from poch and the boys has earned its obliteration.

This is the first use of it spelled 'spursey' on this site ...

I agree it has not been nice to watch recently, but this team under Jol has still filled me full of Spursey pride like no Spurs team of the 90's did under anyone. I think we have to leave Jol and the boys to get on with it. They aren't daft and know what there is to do. Last 16 of the Uefa cup. When did that last happen?

I know it has been said before but look at how long Fergie got to steady ManUre before their great run of success.

Some of the tactical choices bug the wotnot out of me, but I have to keep the faith.

This is the first in the current context

MOTM 2nd half performance by Capoue, scores the winning goal in 91st minute and then gets sold the next day. Spursey...

& this is the first with the 'Spursy' spelling ...

Thank goodness for some common sense. People are getting silly on the Internet going on about how 'Spursy' it is that he's doing well so far since leaving like somehow it's all the club's fault that he wasn't a success.

Get 'Em!!!!

The term 'Spursy' i've never seen as a bad thing, it's not about us 'bottling it' or anything to that effect. It's about how the universe seems to transpire so that no matter how well we do, forces beyond our control will negatively effect us.

It's linked to expectation of failure.

I like it and use it like the above. Its the belief that if the most unlikely turn of events, that would screw us over could happen, it will happen. Much like lasagnegate or Chelsea winning the CL.

Alright Confucius, just stop using it yeah.

"Tanky"

When you try to win a debate by ending your sentence with the word "yeah", even if it makes no grammatical sense. Or when dismantling someones long winded theory with a simple "Nahhh". Or also when suggesting a 2-2-3-2-1 formation in the 'team vs' threads.
