Lemar's a player that i really think that would improve our side both on the pitch and on the balance sheet realistically.

Honestly, the 100k wage structure prevents us from signing any logical player that would immediately improve our first XI.
Let's face it, no World Class star is going to play for us from another club that can pay them more than 100k a week.

Hence, Lemar's potential, age and experience puts him in the same bracket as Eriksen, Modric and Lamela when we bought them.

Will be totally gutted if he chose the Arse over us but looking at the following pros and cons, how would he make his decision?

Tottenham
- Young Hungry Team
- Young Manager who trusts youth
- UCL Group Stage
- Spanking New Stadium to look forward to
- Might not start every week
- Wage structure constraint

Arse
- Rebuilding the team
- French Manager (could be out of touch with modern football?)
- Replacing Alexis and thus will start more as a star player
- Europa League
- More than 100k per week

At the end of the day, money talks, if he really chooses the money at Arsenal, fair play to him, players like him owe nothing to THFC so can't expect him to be bias against us.

People may joke regarding sissoko swap but i am telling you now the french love him. Gladly do that and if, which is a big IF, if we get him I wouldn't be surprised if sissoko is in some way involved

I don't think there's a hope in hell we're signing him.

With that said, I'm pretty confident he won't go to Arsenal now. Monaco can only afford to lose so many players, and with Bakayoko all but certain to leave for Chelsea, I highly doubt they'll want to sell another key player.

How many have they actually sold thus far? I can only think of Germain.

This was something that was reported in the papers from the moment we were linked with Lemar.
Monaco were quickly saying they were not going to suddenly let multiple players leave and had earmarked Bakayoko & Silva as being the ones who would be allowed to leave.

L'Equipe are reporting that Barcelona, City and Chelsea are suddenly in for him as well. Things just got slightly more complicated if true.

City want all the midfielders. Reckon their going for the classic 1-0-10-0 formation. Wouldn't be surprised if Walker changed his mind about going there knowing he would be starting on the bench.

But hasn't he been speaking to other teams? Even Trix said that we'd had encouragement from him. Seems strange to do that if you're not moving. Maybe he was just after a better contract though.

I hate l'arse as much as anyone, but that's rather rose-tinted, non?

Wenger is surely deemed a legend in his homeland, and with Monaco connections. Plus, they already have a spanking new stadium.

I'm sure our project could be sold to Lemar, but only if he is willing to listen (and footballers aren't the most attentive...). Step forward Sir Hugo.

Would be a great signing, and a potential immediate improvement to our starting 11. In other words, not really the kind of signing that we're very good at making.

Depending on your perspective we're either not in a strong enough financial position to offer the kind of competitive wages and/or transfer fees required to sign these players, or we're just not prepared to do so.
