There are times when i despair at this site. Yes the resut was bad however if at the beginning of the season I had said to you we would have lost to Real Madrird in the Q/F of the champions league having beaten the teams we have and played the way we have you would have bitten my hand off.

Now you are saying harry should go in the summer.

FFS! get a grip we must have learnt that sacking the manager every few years doesnt help.

There have been mistakes Harry knows that we know that but getting rid in the summer is not going to help.

Its always amusing when people say stuff like 'Levy didn't put the money up for a striker' or 'Harry was offered Suarez but turned him down'. Fact is, we can make educated guesses about what happened in the transfer window, but nobody can say for certain what went on. The only thing I'd feel pretty confident saying is that Levy was prepared to spend a reasonable amount if the right player came along.

Read into it what you will, but I do not think Harry will be our manager next year.

We lose to real Madrid we're fifth in the league which is probably about right with what we spend and suddenly redknap should go? You're all nuts!

Next year or next season?

because personally i would'nt be surprised if Harry went in the summer. I'd be disappointed if he did go, but not surprised.

Surely this is some kind of racism?

Your point about Levy is fair but sorry mate we are not doing so well.

Can you tell me a managerial masterstoke red has made in the last 12 months?

5th in the league, QF of the CL, beating Arsenal away.. nah you're right, we're doing terribly.

A man who, in his squad, has a 31 yr old, 6' 7'' stick insect who can't jump, a Ruski he doesn't rate who speaks no English, a midget who would miss the floor if he flicked his shit at it and a little Irish fella who can't get himself together after his scouse dream went sour...............decides and announces that he's "happy with the strike 'force' I've got." !!!!

Should he go?

That's a very valid point that goes unnoticed, I remember that comment and cringed myself.

Levy has also taken some stick about not buying a forward, but with the above comment you mentioned, what can he do if Harry loves Crouch/Defoe so much ?

It seems to me that Harry is the one who is fully to blame for this striker mess we have had all season, he even admitted himself he was indecisive in the window, add that he was happy with the strikers we had and it's no wonder we didn't buy.

Levy is the best thing that has happened to us in my time as a Spurs fan and until we get a bigger stadium and higher income from that, the wage policy is spot on, Levy also shouldn't take any stick for that.

As far as should Harry go ?

I don't think he should go during the season, while his mistakes are adding up and I am getting frustrated by some of his actions/comments, he deserves another season.

It would not go down well with the fans and Levy wouldn't make that mistake after the Jol incident.

However I do think Levy has the right to keep an eye out for a potential replacement, at least while Harry hasn't ruled himself out of the England job, it's only prudent while Harry hasn't committed to Spurs.

If Jose becomes available and Levy decides he is the man to take us further, I think even the strongest Harry fans would have to accept that move, certainly while Harry hasn't committed and ruled out the England job.

I think he could go in the summer, not for footballing reasons but because the court case, which could drag on, will seriously affect his ability to manage us. It is also bang in the middle of the period we need to be signing a new striker.

Yes Harry was to blame for not getting a striker in. At least partly anyway. Despite the conviction with which some chunter on in here nobody actually knows exactly what went on.

But his comment about being happy with the strikeforce was absolutely the right thing to say. Having missed on any new strikers, his job was to motivate the existing ones and he was hardly going to do that by coming out in public and saying 'yep they're all shit...we may as well give up now'.

Or do some of you get motivated in peculiar ways?

Not being sure of the date, was the comment while the window was still open, or after it closed ?, because it does make a difference.

If it was closed, I would certainly agree with you, saying they are shite would be detrimental.

I do worry about his love for Defoe/Crouch though and whether it clouds his judgement and treatment they get.

With regular starts, Pav would have double figures in the league and I also can't see Keane doing worse in the league than them, if given regular games like they get.

It wouldn't be hard for him to top 2 goals, heck I think Dos Santos would outscore them in the league this season, he seems to be doing well and scoring in the the La Liga when given the chance.

Although I don't want harry to go, if he does, who the hell are we gonna get to replace him? If available I'd go, in order,

1. Jose
2. Ancelotti
3. Villas Boas (Along with Falcao and Hulk from Porto)

I'd also be happy with Jamie Redknapp or Ray Wilkins as assistant... Or even managers as last resorts.

After those though I really don't want anyone... Not Coyle or Sherwood or anybody... I'd prefer Holloway, at least it would be fun and he understands the tottenham way of playing football.

I said LAST RESORTS as managers and yes would take either as assistants. Outside the club Jamie Redknapp probably knows what's going on/has been going on better than anyone and Ray Wilkins is a proven quality number 2.

Jamie Redknapp is a twat. Ray Wilkins is a nice fella. Much, much too nice a fella to ever be a decent manager.

Unfortunately Schalke have just re-appointed Ralf Rangnick, he would have been a genuine contender who would have been gettable. A very astute manager who believes in pressing, possession, high tempo football who like Wenger, likes to recruit youngsters (ooh er) and coach them properly to play as a cohesive footballing unit rather just buy the biggest names possible and get them to run around a bit (nudge nudge).
