Incredible by Sifan Hassan, gold on the 5km and 10km women, bronze on the 1500m. What an athlete.

And Siffan Hassan - what a legend. I cant think of anyone who has won gold for 5000m 10000m and bronze in 1500 all in one olympics.....Done this in a humid hot energy sapping conditions. This probably gets remembered for another 25 or 50 years

Jakob Ingebrigtsen's gold in the 1500m means Norway have two golds and a silver just in Athletics. Best Norwegian performance ever in track and field.

Ingebrigtsen sacrificed 5000m to participate only in 1500m - ran a super race , finished with a OR. Huge future ahead for him

When his older brother Henrik finished 5th in Rio he said "wait for Jakob, he's going to be better". He was right.

There's an even younger kid in that clan who's also supposed to be incredible.

I don't know much about Gymnastics, even less rhythmic gymnastics, but I feel the judges totally screwed Dina Averina yesterday in favor of Linoy Ashram, from Israel. It was clear to me the judges went out of their way to deny her the gold.

Despite the lack of audiences, I really loved this edition of the Olympic games, but this will make me remember these games for all the wrong reasons.

Everybody was being so sympathetic to her, despite the fact she behaved abominably to that horse and got what she deserved.

Plus, her coach was thrown out for punching the horse:

Watching show jumping competitions on TV back in the 1970s revealed that whenever the horse cleared a jump is was described as "a brilliant piece of riding", whereas any mistake was always blamed on the horse. Fifty years later, the poor bloody horses do all the work and still get treated like this...
