Cheers GB (y).. Would you concur with the majority, and think he's probably out of our range?

EDIT: I mean wage wise, transfer fee wise, and also club stature.

Last season I think Lacazette would have been out of reach but we've undergone a massive transformation. I can't imagine any ambitious young player not being tempted by what we have to offer. The facilities, the new stadium, the coaching, the recruitment, the style of play, the team spirit. We don't pay bad wages either and the league is littered with young players picking up hefty pay packets but never playing. I really think we could get him. Having his International Captain and his former wing man in the team might have a bit of influence too.

Do we have anymore deadwood I thought they were all gone

Some of our 'deadwood' have become really good assets where they went to, eg Lennon, Townsend, Capoue and Gomes to name. Good luck to them and its nice to see them doing well.

We don't pay great wages compared to the other teams in the top 7 or 8 (apart from Leicester). Not suggesting we should bin the wage structure, but we will probably have to start offering our current players and incoming players a bit more to ensure we stay competitive.

Fair comment, but I also think we offer a very realistic option for players who actually want to get on the pitch.
