Well, maybe we are talking about the same thing but focus on different aspects on it? As I said, they've got a mini-cinema/meeting room. You sit down and watch a big screen with data and output on various players (and managers, if you wish). As you point out, you need no technical/computer insight, you can simply sit down and enjoy the ride. However, the core of this place is of course the data cruncher, the thing you put all your data & info into. Without that, it is simply a meeting room without windows but with an over sized TV screen. I was under the impression that "black box" is a reference to this meeting room/cinema, but it may very well be the computer software/hardware (or both, as a complete entity).The black box was the name of his Football Manager-esque algorithm isn't it?
I.e. in terms of a black box being 'a system which can be viewed in terms of its inputs and outputs without any knowledge of its internal workings'.
Request a high energy LWF, the black box system does it's enigma machine whirling, and out pops 4 names etc.
